A country with lots of guns, lots of nutbags, a guy that is hated by millions and millions, promising and making unpopular decisions, insulting and threatening daily...don't bet against it.
The biggest argument
for it is probably that Trump has done so much to make political violence seem more acceptable.
That could well move the needle in that the number of people who think it is worth considering it as an approach goes up.
But like I said, I would be shocked if it happens.
Not that no one tries, just that anyone gets close enough to make the news significantly.
I feel the worst would be something like the second guy on the campaign trial, where they found him in advance and there was never any danger to Trump directly because he never got a shot off.
