Wow you got me on this one, never heard before in my life. Interesting the producer of the track is Joe "The Butcher" Nicolo. He was a Philly guy and mix engineer for many of the hip hop artists out of Philly, including my man Schoolly D. I did not know he was a co-founder of Ruffhouse Records.
You might recognize Max Kellerman as a former co-host of First Take with Stephen A. Smith, and boxing commentator on ESPN.

He and his brother were a hip-hop duo but his brother was murdered by a friend. Max left the music business after the murder.

Kish is Japanese-Canadian. Good tune.
I think he was half Caucasian half Asian so close enough. I didn't know what happened to him after so just looked up his bio. He's a prolific voice actor.

Only a true Canadian hip-hop head would know about Kish in the first place. His music has been lost to history.

I'm happy he found success after his rap career.

1990's Canadian hip hop was a treasure trove. Maestro Fresh Wes paved the way. It helped that 2/3 of Main Source were Canadian as well.

I'm a pretty big Xzibit fan. A somewhat overlooked west coast talent. This one is my favorite. Produced by Diamond D.

From the west side of T.O. this was one of my favorite Canadian hip hop acts of the 90's. Some pretty sick production

Mellow Man Ace scored a pretty big hit with "Mentirosa". Here he is on the hip house tip. I only found out about this song about a decade ago.

"Welcome To My Groove" (1992). Produced by Steve "Silk" Hurley

The sample is of course MFSB's "K-Jee", one of the greatest instrumentals of the Philly Soul era.
