Pretty much everything points to Russian anti-aircraft fire.

There is some interesting talk about after a drone attack on Grozny, Russia jammed radio communications to stop drone control which meant that plane wasn't able to communicate to the tower and that lack of communication led the AA teams to assume the plane was another attack.
