Ontario rejected Sharia religious courts back in 2005. It's a good thing this came about before the current culture of progressive chest beating or else religious courts would be just as widespread here.

Essentially, the reason being; "We will not tolerate the interference of religion in our justice system." Rightfully so.

The downside? Ontario also eliminated excisting Catholic and Jewish courts tribunals as a result. Ontario has allowed Catholic and Jewish faith-based tribunals to settle family law matters on a voluntary basis since 1991.

However, if you think Western-culture based Catholic & Jewish courts are equivalent to Sharia, I have some swamp land to sell you.

The Trudeau government exercised incredible patience and restraint in dealing with the Ottawa occupation which had little to do with Covid-19 vaccines, and the organizers should have been tried for treasons and if Canada had a death penalty executed.

If it was a coup to replace Trudeau then why wasn't it stopped in it's track before it reached Ottawa. It wasn't planned in secrecy and had support from people all around the country. In fact it wasn't a coup until JT went into hiding and had no plan in place to remove the protesters. Most of the trucker were Sikhs so there goes your white supremacist argument. BTW i feel like vinson lol - but to illustrate - just saw a case in Buffalo where these Middle Eastern types (father and son) kidnapped their daughter (uni student) as they arranged a marriage she rejected. Took her back to Yemen and beat her and arranged another marriage. They did it under "customs and morals" etc. Like sharia. They even had text messages saying they'd be in their right to kill her.
