Lasik Experiences - Would you recommend?

So I've considered getting lasik to correct some small astigmatism and myopia I developed a few years ago. Has anyone here gone through the procedure before? How did it go? Do you recommend it? Any tips/things to consider beyond the "usual"?

I had it for myopia 20 years ago. The only thing that kind of bugged me was one eye is sharper. But they said this would postpone reading glasses. Turning 59 soon and still no need for reading glasses. Pretty common operation these days and has been improved over time.
