Sorry for those that didn't get bids Of the ones mentioned above I didn't qualify as i don't have a massage table and my incall is in Orleans so that ruled me out. Maybe I’ll get a table though for next year’s auction and hopefully more providers will put in bids, we can do more advertising to get the word out. I don't see it as a waste of time. I would would rather more options to choose from. Personally I am also pretty flexible on things, as long as it's know. To me the appeal of this auction is the provider seems to be invested in the fantasy, and part of that is they are pursuing you.

Not sure how much effort it takes to put in a bid though. Worst case would be wasting your time.

This is all great feedback for next year! I'm sure this will pick up steam and get more participation. Until then we still have the provider auction coming in the Spring and I’m hearing it’s going to be very interesting!

For one, I'm not local, so it would have meant that the work involved in arranging the timing for a date might not have been worth it for the provider. And for two, some of the ideas that I had were pretty similar to fantasies that had already been posted. But there's always next time, or the provider auction in the spring, and there's also nothing stopping me from supporting one of the charities anyway.

We have some bids not accepted, and it could have been for any one of several reasons why. Timing restrictions. Location restrictions. The particular fantasy just didn't resonate with any providers. Fewer providers taking part than there were fantasies, and they prioritized bidding on the fantasies that most tickled their fancies. The Senators sucking. Evil spirits. Who knows? But they weren't accepted, so we have some disappointed clients too. Again, though, there's nothing stopping them from supporting one of the charities anyway, if they choose to do so.

But we're multiple comments deep now arguing about the whys, and whether the whys suggested are valid whys. I realize this is a discussion board, but not everything needs to turn into a Discussion, y'know?

This is why we can't have nice things.

I'd prefer to focus on the fact that we've seen a bunch of bids accepted, which means we have a bunch of happy clients, a bunch of happy providers, and some money going to the charities, all of which was kind of the point of the exercise. Based on those metrics, I'd say this was a success. So well done all!

I truly didn’t see it as anyone arguing. So I hope my feedback wasn’t taken in a negative light.
Im definitely appreciative of all the feedback and discussion we’re having. This way we can fine tune the next auctions and hopefully have even better results.
I already have a list of recommendations to make for the next auction.

My biggest suggestion would be that the next reverse auction take place at the end of November so that there is more time to post fantasies, bid on fantasies and also more time to organize the fantasies if they are meant to take place in December.
My second suggestion would be that bids can be accepted but the fantasy itself doesn’t have to take place in December (as some people’s schedules are just way too busy).

For all of my bids, I didn’t set a timeline for when the date needs to take place. I’ll still honour the bid at any time in the next year so long as the pledged donation is made to the charity.

some may remember I used to be extra kinkie but sadly people started crossing boundaries and playing into fantasies without communicating to me prior so… I wouldn’t want a huge amount of people contacting me or trying to book me down the line for something more taboo…

Yes, this is what we’re looking to plan for next year! Providers will post their “fantasy” or ideal date (doesn’t necessarily have to be a fantasy) and clients can make their bids.

Based on the feedback from this auction, I have a few ideas on how to make this next auction even better for everyone involved!

But please post any other suggestions or feedback!

I’d love to also get a good amount of providers on board for this next auction (MAs included!!!) so we can all work together to support the SW community in Ottawa and the surrounding areas.

Just to clarify, this auction would be providers only posting their fantasy/date ideas. Clients won’t be posting anything, just bidding. But I suppose clients could ask about options privately during the bid. Or perhaps bid higher for specific requests.

I would suggest for the providers auction if providers are uncomfortable publicly posting specific acts that they instead post their “fantasy/experience” but without including specific acronyms. For example: leaving the fantasy vague but with some specific parameters such as “this fantasy will be GFE only” or “this date will be social only” or “this fantasy will have the option to upgrade to PSE”, etc.

Clients who bid on the experience can then inquire about specific acronyms or acts they would like to include and can also incentivize the bid.

Hopefully this approach would leave providers feeling comfortable enough to post their fantasy or experience without setting any unrealistic expectations for anyone or facing any pressure?

I think you're talking about different events. McKenna's talking about something that had been suggested to happen in the first couple of months of the new year. You're thinking of something for this time next year.

The Providers auction will (hopefully) be around Valentine’s Day or maybe even in the Spring.
But the reverse auction for clients will be again next year around Christmas time (or hopefully before in November so we all have more time to prepare).
