I think some people are missing the point. It is not immigration itself that is the problem. It is MASS immigration without vetting.
It isn't just about mass immigration, which I agree is the biggest problem. But it's also about where the immigrants are coming from.

Canada is supposed to be a diverse country. Admitting majority Indian immigrants isn't upholding the values that Trudeau claims to preach. We should be seeing equal numbers of immigrants from Africa, South America, Europe.

Canada is supposed to be a diverse country. Admitting majority Indian immigrants isn't standing up to the values that Trudeau claims to preach. We should be seeing equal numbers of immigrants from Africa, South America, Europe.
We do get immigrants from everywhere.
But the majority tends to be from India because that is how it is now.
It is the country producing the most immigrants.
Also their country of origin is irrelevant if we admit qualified people.
Your problems with race, religion etc are not actual issues immigration law needs to deal with.

Canadian Universities have become dependent on the higher tuition fees that foreign students are willing to pay. And it's not like they're not benefiting for their payments. A medical degree from the UofT is recognized almost globally...even though it costs $95,000 to work for it. Mr Arse was probably sponsored by a family member already living in Canada. He no student.

Doctor here, they will never ever in a million years let an Indian international student into a Canadian med school.

What do you mean "that is how it is now"? And what is "it is the country producing the most immigrants" supposed to mean?

There are billions of people worldwide outside of India that are ready to immigrate to Canada.

Canada specifically admits more immigrants from India than elsewhere.

What is the reason?

Here's one for you. In Edmonton, "real Canadian" white guy hunts down, shoots and kills a Punjabi security guard. Video below.

Damn, you inadvertently threw another minority group under the bus while trying to defend the other.

This incident is like so many in Edmonton... where the violent criminal is native.

No, that is factually incorrect.
Canada does not target anyone from India or any other country.
We have criteria and anyone meeting the criteria is admitted.
The majority of applicants are from India, and therefore the majority of immigrants are from India.
That is what I mean by "that is how it is now" and "it is the country producing the most immigrants".

They’ll barely let Canadians in, getting into a Canadian med school takes 3-4 attempts to get in on average for a Canadian student who was in the top 10 percent of their class throughout uni.
I get it is very competitive.
But I am asking in light of Doug Ford saying that they wont let international students into med schools.
Was wondering if there were any other reasons.

Oh really?
That's how they're targeted, assuming what you're saying is even factual (which I seriously doubt).
Hit me up when you want to discuss facts instead of your imaginations.
None of what you are alleging is remotely true.

The only international med students in Canada are sponsored by Saudi Arabia. There were only a handful of them. They would never even think of letting in an Indian international into a Canadian med school

Well, I am aware that Canadian med schools do not allow any international student in.
Indian or otherwise regardless of how competitive they are.
They only allow permanent residents and citizens in.
But that is why am asking the question.
On the one hand we have shortage of doctors.
So what is the reasoning behind not allowing international students into Canadian med schools?

Well, that was my question.
Why?
Am sure there are competitive applicants.
But why would they not let any Indian or otherwise, international students in a Canadian med school?
What is the reasoning behind that?
Because why the hell would they waste a spot on an international when they can get an elite tier born and brought up Canadian to fill the same spot with infinitely better mastery of English and less incentive to leave to the US for money. They only let the Saudis in cause the benefit outweighed the cost. There is no benefit in giving the most coveted degrees to international students. Each doctor once they’re done with residency has had a government investment of more than 7 figures invested into them.

who in their right mind would let an international student who doesn’t speak English as good as a Canadian hold a million dollars worth of tax payer money?

English is not a problem.
Many international students can speak very good English.
But your last point makes sense regarding investment into residency.
Economic immigrants may eventually leave for the US for better pay, which is true.
I wasn't aware it would be 7 figures though.
