Anyone know What % of GTA is South Asian? Stats say ~20% but doesn't feel true. Ppl mention Peel but even other areas like Scarborough, North York etc feel quiet South Asian.

Feels closer to 40% overall vs 20%. What do you guys think?

South Asians make up 52% of the Brampton population as of 2021. I'm sure it is much higher now as we approach 2025.

Personally I’m far less concerned about the increasing percentage of South Asian people in the GTA than I am about the increasing percentage of white people expressing overtly racist views. But that’s just me.

Yes.
Whites expressing racist views has been a problem since Donald Trump's first term.
It was a cultural shift amongst the right.
I have a lot of Indians living in my condo.
No problems.
If you ask most people they will come up with anecdotes that amount to a mild annoyance.
Example: One guy here was complaining that an Indian guy got his Timmy's order wrong.
Did no one ever get orders wrong before the Indians came here? lol.
Or someone complains that Indians in their condo were leaving garbage everywhere.
Exaggeration.
Am sure those Indians are not actually throwing garbage everywhere along the hallways.
Maybe one or two didn't know how to use the garbage chute properly.

Has no one ever had people in their condo stuff pizza boxes in their chutes shutting it down?
I would go so far to say that the majority of the messes in my condo are made by the whites lmao.
Leaving pizza boxes on the floor of the garbage chute room.
Putting their garbage bags there rendering it impossible to open the door and so on.

They watch questionable news media, who push all kinds of conspiracy theories and harbour ill will for no reason even though their personal experiences with these immigrants may be very limited.

The sad thing is that racism was always prevalent growing up but now Trump and Pee Pee have allowed these right wingers to take off their mask and express their racist and disgusting views.

One day I was at the gas station across the street from my condo and he was buying a slushie and buddy tossed the change onto the counter without saying anything to the Indian cashier. I couldn’t believe that someone who’s living off of welfare, subsidized housing and begs for money (mind you I’ve been seeing this guy begging at the corner on my way to work for the past 8 years) would act in such a rude manner to a random cashier. It’s just ridiculous how immigrants are being blamed for everyone’s problems to the point that even someone living off of the Government would look down upon some random cashier working an honest job

Usually when there is economic difficulty immigrants get blamed.
This has always happened.
It is easy to blame a minority group than take a deeper look at problems.

These people should watch American History X. Great movie. I got no problem with any race, but I got a problem with any lazy welfare folks who whine. A lot of folks say immigrants also tend to work harder and usually for less pay that's because where they came from it's a lot worse and they don't want to go to that standard. I grew up around tons of races in the GTA and I only have issues with uneducated folks who clearly don't know what they are talking about.

If people have problems with the Tim's workers from overseas who messed up their order what about the white dude who messed it up too? What about the ones who vape during breaks and who's to say they aren't vaping THC while at work which can impact their ability to remember an order. Personally if I'm at a fast food place or a restaurant and someone messes up my order I'll ask professionally and respectfully these people who blow up over something so small are folks I don't even wanna be around. Go take an anger management course because the issue is you and you won't admit it due to your ego or something. And these workers deal with hundred of customers a day and god forbid they mess up once or twice during their shift because they are humans. This is why a lot of the young folks (and they can be white folks too) when they mess up they generally feel really bad and a lot worse when the customer blows up on them. And people wonder why some of these people eventually have mental health issues due to the abuse they take verbally. Anyone bashing them for mistakes here or there should work their job for a week and see if they never ever mess up.

And I've also talked to a few welfare folks here or there the super odd time who think they are beating the system and paying less in taxes. So let me get this straight...you'd rather get welfare and do the very minimum instead of making 6 figures because the taxes get higher? Then learn how to lower those taxes by moving money around. It's not even that complicated. Some of these people don't care about living in filth then get super jealous of others who drive better vehicles and have better living environments.
