But from the Liberal's viewpoint, if they lose the next election, it will become the Conservative's problem.
If they win the next election, they just keep piling onto it as they have been doing and keep increasing the carbon tax to make up for it.

Mulroney also took the political hit for introducing the GST, which enable Paul Martin to reduce debt and achieve a surplus.
Martin also downloaded expenses to the provinces , who now (surprises, surprise) have their own debt problem, exuberated by provincial liberal irresponsible spending
Now we may need to endure an incremental GST 2.0 to deal with the second irresponsible Trudeau's debt
the moron Justin has also greatly increased the size of govt with little to no incremental benefit for most Canadians
