Has anyone been using Blueksy lately? Allegra has a "starter pack", that lets you add the accounts of all of their members with a single click.

And I was wondering if any other agencies or groups of independent SWs had anything similar.

It's a great feature, and It definitely makes it easier to find people....

Im worried that X or Twitter will delete my account out of nowhere. I’ll look into this app :) for anyone that used it before how is it compared to Twitter?

My twitter was suspended when I've never posted anything remotely explicit. It seemed very arbitrary and I was not able to have it recovered.

I only recently set up my bluesky account and am just getting it set up at this point. Good luck with yours! Xo

Functionally its very much like Twitter, and the biggest difference is its smaller user base (though that seems to be beginning to change).

I’ve been looking at Bluesky and saw a few suggestions for the Starter packs. Does anyone know if you end up following everyone in the pack with just a click? I saw someone who’d posted one with over 100 people in it. Christ I can’t keep up with that number of people!!

If you go to the starter pack page, there is a button by each member of the pack, and you can choose whether to follow them or not individually. Also, if you would like to follow them all, there is a button at the top that lets you follow all with a single click...

We're all-in on Bluesky, and we're in the process of migrating all our social media presence over there instead of Twitter. The Twitter icons on the SP pages of our website will be replaced by BSKY icons in the coming months, and our Twitter account will cease operations at some point in the near future as well.

Twitter has been hostile to SW for a long time, and we don't see that situation improving at all. The view throttling, shadowbanning, and arbitrary account deletions that SWs frequently experience are all clear signs that Twitter has no interest in our participation on the platform. Even paying for a premium membership hasn't improved the situation, so it's time to move on.

Leaving the questions of political affiliation aside - and that's certainly a consideration, but supposing that it wasn't - the functionality of Bluesky is already superior to Twitter in some areas, and is on par (or nearly so) in the rest. The platform is a lot like Twitter was in its best days, before all the changes that have negatively impacted our industry. The only reason we stayed on Twitter for so long was because there was no viable alternative, and the community was fully embedded in Twitter because of how long we had been using it. It's hard to walk away from a profile that you've invested so many years in, and a community that you've cultivated over such a long time. But the Twitter we loved didn't love us back, and once the ground shifted and people started moving to Bluesky en masse, we saw no reason to wait any longer.

Twitter is a declining platform, whereas Bluesky is on the upswing; Bluesky went from 6M users three months ago, to 10M users one month ago, to 15M users yesterday, and (after adding 1 million users in the last 24 hours alone) over 16M today. There will be growing pains, as there always are for new platforms, but the trajectory for both platforms is clear. I'd be naive to assume Bluesky will always be a SW paradise, and it's entirely possible that a future TOS update for Bluesky might marginalize us the same way that Twitter has. But today, with things the way they are right now - Twitter is the past, and Bluesky is the present and (hopefully!) the future.

Our Starter Pack means you can follow any or all of the Allegra SP profiles in a single click, and I highly recommend the Toronto Indy SP and Pro Domme Starter Packs as well! It's a really good way to save you the trouble of digging through profiles trying to rebuild your lists one or a few at a time, and makes it much easier to make the switch. :)
