I can’t worry about every country and their issues. As another example, I’m a huge supporter of the LGTB+ community. I hate that there are still countries that banned gay marriage but I can’t do anything about it. I can only focus on Canada. I would drive myself nuts if I started looking and investing myself in every country that has different ideologies than me or my country.

I don’t know, maybe it is my age but I just don’t get investing so much emotional energy into this, win or lose.

EDIT : to your addition, how am I oblivious if I acknowledge it but refuse to get emotionally invested. I know it is happening and sure, it sucks but it is not my country. Not my circus, not my monkeys so to speak. If it comes here to Canada. I will do something. I had my letter read during the C-36 Bill readings. I got involved because it affected me here. But not here, not for me to get involved.
Where are you acknowledging anything?

And I have been clear this is it about “Trump” to me. I’m not complaining about Trump. Please show me otherwise and I will promptly acknowledge it but there is nothing there.

I gave you the sesta fosta and your answer was I don't travel to the US....

Are you serious?

Today is a very sad day for women's, lgbtq's AND sex workers rights. It's not our battle but it is. This will also affect ours. If a guy like Pollievre pass, there will be a humongous shitshow around here (I don't like the Liberal either, if that matters). What is going on is really, really bad.

Also the Trumpist on a review board that copulate with sex workers but celebrate this kind of victory sound so weird to me. Make it make sense!
Add minority group to your list too:(

What will happen if PP gets in. What is Trump gonna do that will affect women's rights. If anything. Trump is a huge supporter of sex workers.

Lefties are so misinformed like you say.

Abortion is at the STATE level which they clearly dont understand. And even then its not the doomsday the far left likes to portray.

Women’s space will finally be free from biological males.

I agree with this. His own wife is one. Among the highest paid in the world.
You could at least educate yourself.

Trump signed the Sesta fosta in 2018.

Maybe there is a miscommunication. I’m not saying you are complaining about Trump. I’m saying I’m not going to complain about him. I wouldn’t complain about Harris either.

If you travel to the US, I get your concern for having Trump in office based on our profession. For those that don’t however, I don’t personally understand the emotion investment in his win in this election.

I hope that makes it more clear.

Yes and no. You stand up and fight here for a lot of reason but this one, who actually matters, you play it like it's not about you when it's probably the only thing worth fighting about and that actually is about you. They affect your work beyond traveling to the States. I wouldn't have said anything to you if you didn't get involved in this thread in the first place but you did. Stay truly silent at least.

Anyways I guess I'll just bow on this thread.

Meh / you can have your opinion. I’m not going to jump against one party supporter or the other. Period.

Yes but it doesn’t affect me. I don’t travel to the US. That is part of my point. I don’t see why Canadians are calling a victory when it has no bearing on them. If you travel
To the US for work, I get it. If you are a snowbird, I get it but when it has no bearing on you, how are you shouting victory?
Oh my, tell people who absolutely don't follow what is going on without actually telling people what is going on.

The only weird thing is why any Canadian would celebrate a Trump win. I am guessing most of the trumptards are actually Americans, some of whom shit on the hobby this board is dedicated to. But I guess any platform that lets cultists cult will do.
