I get being worried about our election and political parties but I don’t get the investment some make over another country that has nothing to do with them. I’m talking about a strictly Canadians, none travelling, not dual citizenship. Just regular Canadians. I know people who have no affiliation with the US who has Harris or Trump flags. I’m sorry but that makes no sense to me.

And you’re right. How does a Canadian love Trump so much but also love sex workers and being involved in this industry. Again, it makes no sense. I think people just jump on a bandwagon that has no bearing on them and then invest in one that does. It is hypocritical. So why not worry about how own election while enjoying sex workers???

I wasn’t in any thread. I didn’t support either side. It is not my election so why would I? That is my point.

And I have been clear this is it about “Trump” to me. I’m not complaining about Trump. Please show me otherwise and I will promptly acknowledge it but there is nothing there.
I saw you weren't in any thread, it just seems weird that all of a sudden your posting about it when before you had no problem with the thousands of anti Trump posts.

I wasn’t talking about them. I said Canadians specifically for a reason
Canada is the largest trading partner of the US.
So what happens in the US will affect Canada to some degree.
Thats probably why so many members on this board care about who wins the election

Fluoride is already in toothpaste. The American health association admitted that it can lead to low IQ in children.
Not in my toothpaste...I've been using baking soda and coconut oil for years now

Meh / you can have your opinion. I’m not going to jump against one party supporter or the other. Period.
Do you know what SESTA/FOSTA is?
Yes but it doesn’t affect me. I don’t travel to the US. That is part of my point. I don’t see why Canadians are calling a victory when it has no bearing on them. If you travel
To the US for work, I get it. If you are a snowbird, I get it but when it has no bearing on you, how are you shouting victory?

Because it's their first step to bring this type of ideology here I guess.

That is a fear but not necessarily based on fact. It was the Conservative who changed the laws to what we have now. I can’t see them changing it again to a stricter law. It would make no sense.

Plus we have a different Charter of Right which was how the challenge happened in the first place.

Lefties are delusional. Zero sense of reading the room.

Free speech was under threat.
Locker rooms safe again for women.
Borders protected again.
Groceries and gas affordable again.
No more un$cientific mandates.
Food is actually food again.

Simply put, end the wokeness. And this should filter through to our election next year for a Pierre super majority. We see how Jagmeet puts his pension before the well being of the country. Only way to prevent this coalition BS is a clean sweep.

They tried so hard to lynch Trump. Tried to silence Elon. Called RFK a conspiracy theorist. Rigged the 2020 election most likely.

I know many fellow Canadians who feel the same way I do. We’re on deck LFG!

What I meant here is that you should at least acknowledge the damage that was done to your own community by this man. There is a line there and I think you are being a little bit oblivious.

Well sure if you just came on here to say what you had to say about this thread but there are 3 to 4 high traffic threads about Trump and kamalaand both sides have been on this since Joe Biden...so there has been people on both sides of the aisle that looks fully invested on the US politics...there's also thread about Israel and Gaza that has no effect on the daily lives of Canadians...it's thread about politics. You unfortunately clicked on this one.

I can’t worry about every country and their issues. As another example, I’m a huge supporter of the LGTB+ community. I hate that there are still countries that banned gay marriage but I can’t do anything about it. I can only focus on Canada. I would drive myself nuts if I started looking and investing myself in every country that has different ideologies than me or my country.

I don’t know, maybe it is my age but I just don’t get investing so much emotional energy into this, win or lose.

EDIT : to your addition, how am I oblivious if I acknowledge it but refuse to get emotionally invested. I know it is happening and sure, it sucks but it is not my country. Not my circus, not my monkeys so to speak. If it comes here to Canada. I will do something. I had my letter read during the C-36 Bill readings. I got involved because it affected me here. But not here, not for me to get involved.
