They had bodies in '66 and beyond. Canadian born and bred bodies galore. They imported bodies too. Those bodies are retiring now in record numbers with not enough Canadian born and bred bodies to in the workforce to support social programs for retirees.

The ratios and data that I provided are straight form the diehard, right-wing conservative ideological think-tank the Fraser Institute. Think your idol Pee-Pee think man think.

It provides the basis for the need to have an adequate work force population to maintain and sustain economic and societal survivability.
An aging population is an issue for any party that is in power

The open boarder policy of the Trudeau government clearly has not work as it caused strain on housing , health care and infrastructure and did not address the shortage of skilled labor issue.

we do require immigration, however we need to bring in people with in-demand skills, not just warm bodies
quality vs quantity
and now it will have to be done at a slower measured pace

this would also help our woeful productivity per capita ratio which has lagged behind g7 peers

not enough Canadian born and bred bodies to in the workforce to support social programs for retirees.
a govt debt cries is now far more likely to happen due to past liberal fiscal mis-management than a tax revenue decline due to demographic changes

are you so ideologically blinded that you are unable to see how ongoing deficits and unsustainable government debt put all social support programs at risk ?
why the loonie left ignores this is perplexing
you can not survive as an individual if you constantly spend more than you make and the train wreck just approaches faster if you borrow more than you can repay

yet the loonie left views govt as a bottomless well of money to be spent inefficiently on a never ending list of wants.

the truth is loonie left views govt as the vehicle for wholesale wealth redistribution, but wont admit that publicly.

every decision is risk/ reward
the loonie left ignores the risk half of the equation as they do not care if they put other peoples money at risk

Trudeau and his Liberals simply realized they fxxked up.

Discrimination against immigrants is worrisome but not
an issue in revising our immigration policy.
ideologically driven goals usually sound good at first glance
However sound policy formulation requires a much deeper drill down to ensure unintended consequences ( example housing shortages, strains on Health care) do not occur.

Justin Trudeau is a dumb assed moron who makes ideologically / politically driven decisions
He is just too stupid to think carefully and deeply enough to develop sound policy formulation.
that is just too hard for him / beyond his capabilities

He was, is not and never will be qualified for the office of Prime Minister
Canadians will suffer for foolishly electing a PM because he had a famous last name.

And then all your biases, partisan bullshit and ideology rise up from the toxic pit in which they fester to pollute any sound and sensible debate that you had previously made in my quoted post above this one.

Absolutely, LaRue.

We need to do what the rightie governments do. Slash all taxation of billionaires and the rich. Cut back all social programs. And make the poor pay more taxes in the form of tariffs.

That's what made us great in Victoria's time. And the high infant mortality rate wasn't as relevant as those damned lefties yelp it was!!! 😺 🐵👌

But you're a troll.
He is a major troll and use insults of a 12 year old.

Most of the people complaining about Trudeau voted for him

In 4 years, these guys are going to complaint about Peepee.

we are not welcoming if we invite people in and there is no job , home or health care for them
Much like the "feel good" carbon tax scheme, inviting people in is the "feel good" part...after that, there's no plan and no one feels good.

But you're a troll.
Right on queue....
Your argument crumbles...
You then respond with word salad gibberish to distract from your failure...
Then call people trolls who call you out for your incompetence and warped thinking.

Predictable.

If by troll you mean an intelligent guy that doesn't take shit, keeps an open mind, thinks for himself and calls out sheep that don't do anything except recycle the bullshit that they hear on tv then you're right, I'm a troll 🤷‍♂️ 😘
No, I don't mean any of that troll-like, narrative figment of your imagination quoted above, not even a little bit not even at all.

Skoob, you are way out of your league here. An uninformed midge, a mite, a zero-sum fool and tool of right-wing ideological brainwashing who has actually convinced himself that he is something which he is so painfully, shamefully and embarrassingly not, that being competent.

As one of your dear leaders is wont to admonish others says:

"Stay in your lane. Stick to your knitting" because you are nowhere near any shape, form or construct of competency to tread elsewhere.

Meh. You can mean or not mean what ever want but thats the reason you're calling me a troll. The majority of the members here can see that just the same way that I can so you and your sheeple minions can call me a troll all you want. Do you think I take an issue of being called silly names or it bothers me in any way? Call me anything you like. The first thing I do is consider the source. If a fine upstanding member here laid into me it may bother me but you are literally nothing so it doesn't matter in the least. So there you go. Fire away with any names, derogatory terms or profanity. It's coming from a sheep.
Name calling and fear mongering are all the Commie's on this board have left. Poor bastards. They can barely find the tampon machine in the men's bathroom.

Bumper sticker.

Placard sloganeering.

Void, vapid and vacant.

It's all about lanes and knitting my boy.
