The question remains, how will it end?
With dead American soldiers. Not the children of Zionists though. Oh no, they'll use farm boys and inner city kids for cannon fodder.

They just gave up on invading Lebanon, Hezbollah defeated them.
So they'll stick to bombing hospitals.

Iran is too far to invade, they just want the US to do it for them, or even better for this to make trump win so he does it for them.

Israeli sources are now declaring that their planes have returned home safely and that it is all over. For now. But if Iran now counters with an attack, well then we'll etc etc etc

I find it telling that the one photo purporting to be a panorama of a nightscape of Tehran under bombardment which first appeared in Times of Israel, Jerusalem Post etc and even in some major western news
sources, had the following caption attached in the T of I:

An unconfirmed image circulating on social media purports to show a site of an explosion in the Tehran area in the early hours of October 26, 2024, as Israel announces it is carrying out 'precise strikes' on Iranian military targets. (Social media: used in accordance with Clause 27a of the Copyright Law)

Will it turn out to be a nothing burger?

Israel's poodle Keir Starmer or more correctly Israel's American poodle's
own British poodle has called on both sides to exercise restraint.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Keir Starmer issues stark warning to Iran after Israel bombs Tehran
Oct 26, 2024

Sir Keir Starmer has urged "all sides to show restraint" when asked if he considers Israel’s air strikes on Iran to be proportionate.

Israel pounded Iran with a series of airstrikes on Saturday (October 26), saying it was targeting military sites in retaliation for the barrage of ballistic missiles the Islamic Republic fired on Israel earlier this month.

The Prime Minister said: “On the question of the strikes, I think we need to be really clear that Israel does have the right to defend itself, but we are urging, and have been urging all sides to show restraint, and that’s why I’m very clear today, Iran should not be responding to this.

“And those are really important messages of de-escalation that, at this moment in time, I think it’s very important everybody needs to heed.”

Speaking at a press conference in Samoa, the Prime Minister added: “I am clear that Israel has the right to defend itself against Iranian aggression, and I am equally clear that we need to avoid further regional escalation and urge all sides to show restraint.

“Iran should not respond. We will continue to work with allies to de-escalate the situation across the region.”

A Downing Street spokesman said: “We are monitoring this situation closely. We support Israel’s right to self-defence and to protect itself in line with international humanitarian law. Further escalation is in no one’s interest.”

Explosions were heard in the Iranian capital, Tehran, during the attacks, though the Islamic Republic insisted the damage was "limited".

The attack risks pushing the two countries closer to an all-out war at a time of spiralling violence across the Middle East, where militant groups backed by Iran — including Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon — are already at war with Israel.

Saturday marked the first time Israel's military has openly attacked Iran, which hasn't faced a sustained barrage of fire from a foreign enemy since its war with Iraq in the 1980s.

Israel's hours-long attack ended just before sunrise in Tehran, with the Israeli military saying it targeted "missile manufacturing facilities used to produce the missiles that Iran fired at the state of Israel over the last year". It also said it hit surface-to-air missile sites and "additional Iranian aerial capabilities".

Israel can't do shit to Iran, nobody in the middle east will let them fly over their airspace.
The question is what Iran decides to do in response, they now have the rights to a full on attack if the want but have a long history of being way more careful.

The limited strikes on Iran carried out by Israeli fighter-jets early on Saturday morning Tehran time above all demonstrated the constraints under which even this extremist Israeli government has to operate. The bombings are said to have been limited to military targets, including missile manufacturing facilities.

The first constraint Israel faced was logistical. The Netanyahu government could not have its fighter jets fly straight to Iran, which would have allowed a more extensive set of attacks. Israel could not gain overflight permissions from Turkey, Iraq or any of the Gulf Cooperation Council states (Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman). Sean Matthews at Middle East Eye points out that as a result, the Israelis would have had to fly down the Red Sea, go west across the Gulf of Aden, and approach Iran from the Arabian Sea. It is a long way around. They would have had to bring along large hulking refueling planes. This long, clumsy flight path limited what the Israelis could accomplish.

Extremist Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had earlier not ruled out hitting Iran’s nuclear facilities or its oil fields. Iran, however, essentially held the GCC countries hostage, warning that if US-backed Israel hit Iranian oil fields, Tehran would retaliate against US-backed Arab oil monarchies in the Gulf such as Saudi Arabia. The Biden administration is trying to woo those countries into recognizing Israel, and having a berserker Israeli government draw them into hostilities with Iran would instead make these Arab countries flee both the US and the possible Israeli embrace. For some diplomatic purposes, as with detente with Iran, Saudi Arabia has already gone to China instead.

The US told Israel to not attack nuclear facilities and oil storage & facilities in Iran. Israel complied, striking only military targets.

Hopefully Iran will let it go at that for the time being.

It was a dinky little attack.
No middle eastern country will let Israel use their airspace for war so they are pretty screwed.

That and Israel giving up on invading Lebanon are the only good news there for a long time.

This was retaliatory with the intent to not escalate.
Face saving for both Israel and Iran.
Hope Iran does not retaliate and lets it go.

It was an attempt to escalate by Israel.
The third attempt so far.

First the bombing of an embassy in Syria, second the assassination of the Hamas negotiator in Iran.

I think there was a general visiting, but still, it was an embassy and that's a big fucking nono internationally.
Its all Israeli aggression.
Netanyahu has wanted war with Iran for decades.

That is not a defeat then.
They killed all the Hezbollah leadership and stopped.
But that said, I have not seen any evidence of this announcement.
Do you have anything other than the tweet?
Strange interpretation...Hezbollah just replaced its leadership and repelled the Israeli invasion. Israel barely made it into Lebanon. Israel’s goal was to return Israeli’s to the north and eliminate Hezbollah but more Israeli’s than ever have fled the north and Hezbollah hits Israel with more missiles than ever. Only last week they delivered a drone into Netanyahu’s bedroom window.

How is it a strange interpretation when all the Hezbollah top brass are dead?
They will replace of course. So did Hamas. Terrorist groups will replace leaders.
How many of those Hezbollah drones and missiles including the one meant for Netanyahu are effective?
You are reaching when you say the IDF has been defeated.

Israel has the US behind them, Hezbollah is not an army.
For Hezbollah to successfully stop the Israeli invasion its a victory, even if there were high costs.

Now Israel's Iran attack looks to have failed as well.
