Blame Trudeau for letting so many foreign students into the country, then kicking them out.
Not an Ontario problem.
The Feds control who gets into the county, not the province.
But nice try at shifting blame as usual.
Waste of time responding.
In one ear, out the other.
How does someone have a conversation based in reality with a zombie?
Go back to when your Thug in the Pink Palace first took office and the years thereafter.
- In 2019, your dearest Thug cut tuition fees by 10% and then froze the fees till this day. Five years and counting of freezing these fees and the much needed revenue it brings to Ontario's post-secondary education institutions. His own Ministry of Education taskforce besieged the premier in 2024 to raise fees for in-province students after a yearly freezes preceded by a 10% cut, but noooooooo, the Thug did not.
- The Thug's own expert panel's report says provinces outside Ontario provide universities an average of $20,772 in funding per full-time-equivalent student. Ontario's annual funding is little more than half of that: $11,471. "Ontario is a long, long way below what's being spent in the rest of the provinces," said Alex Usher, who leads the post-secondary consulting firm Higher Education Strategy Associates. "We want a world class system, but we don't want to pay for it," Usher said in an interview.
- His analysis is that the government created the panel to give it justification for ending the tuition freeze, not to get advice that it should boost provincial funding.
- Usher says the government would need to spend $4 billion annually to meet the national average for provincial funding to universities, and says there's no way that can be found through operating more efficiently. "There isn't $4 billion worth of savings in the system," he said. "Our institutions churn out graduates much more cheaply in terms of public money than anybody else. I don't think there's that many more efficiencies to get."
- The government of Ontario operates and funds education in this province, not the federal government. It is solely the Thug's responsibility.
- The Thug has starved post-secondary education starting in 2019 and continues to today and going forward.
You are a waste of time responding to!
PS > Oh and before you respond, NO, hell frickin NO, increasing post-secondary education funding by $400 million per year for the next 3 years and promising to root out inefficiencies within the system that don't frickin exist does NOT even begin to properly fund the post-secondary system that has been starved for 5 years, to the tune of $4billion dollars per year and counting your dear frickin leader, the Thug in the Pink Palace who solely and wholly created this disaster and whose only concern is handing out $3.2billion in bribes for an election that is not needed, not required, nor wanted. Oh, and playing on the basest of base culture wars with stupid deluded tunnel visions of grandeur and car is king culture wars.
