Going to Rama. I know casinos are going to take my money. What are some of the best games to play to stretch out my dollar? I am not an experienced table game player. Just don’t want to lose everything to early. Lol

Blackjack is the only game you have a chance to win, but you need to know when to stay or push and know your percentage to catch your card to win.

Video poker usually offers the best odds in most casinos, if you know how to play. Some VP games even offer a > 100% return if you know perfect strategy. But that's a big if and there are a lot of different games with different strategies and odds.

Still, most return 96 % or better if you know how to play. videopokertrainer dot org is a good site to learn and practice a variety of games for no money or other strings attached. And vpfree2 dot com is a volunteer run site that tracks where the games with the best odds are. It suggests that some of the best games in Ontario are at Casino Rama.

Good luck, have fun and play responsibly. 🙂♦♣♠♥

Problem is I don’t know how to play. Lol.. video poker sounds better so I don’t interfere with someone else’s game

Basic strategy is not hard to learn -- there's tons of YouTube videos, blogs, etc. -- and you'll still do pretty well with that. Basically you play against the computer instead of other players and get a set prize per winning hand.

If the idea is to lose money slowly (and max out your comped drinks in Vegas) then it's literally your best bet.

Appreciate you taking the time out to share this. It’s easy enough to get addicted or wind up in trouble.

I take a certain amount that yes it sucks if I lose but I understand that I probably won’t win. On the rare occasion I have won I stop. Granted it’s only been a few hundred at best.

I just don’t want to lose quickly.

Ever since there was that cyber attack on the casinos and they lost billions or millions I can't remember the amount but it was sgnificant they had shut them all down around siimcoe
The word on the senior tour buses is the machines are tightened or maybe there senile who knows
I happened to self exclude myself from casinos because I was SICK AND TIRED of coming home feeling sick to my stomach that I had made 7 withdrawals from my bank without realizing how fucked up and addicted I was

I was like a crackhead on money and slots

I haven't been back in years if there was such a thing as good paying machines they'd all be taken

just do yourself a favour every time you go to a casino realize your donating it to them by your choice

gambling addiction is the number one addiction that will cause suicide end up in a mental institution or end up in jail

I knew a guy that started out in the stock market then his whole life became gambling

if you can afford to lose it all and start over from scratch then keep supporting these evil establishments

learn basic strategy

then when you get to the casino, look for black jack tables where the players are louder than most

look for tables where people are enjoying themselves and cheering

that will indicate a table where the dealer is loosing

with all of that you will still most likely lose but it might take a while

and you might have some fun :)

If you're looking to stretch your dollar, video poker is your best bet. Not only are the odds as close to even as you can expect from a casino, but you can find very low stake machines that'll last you awhile. You don't get much in the way of the social experience there, though.

Personally, while I've dabbled in other table games like blackjack and craps, just for the fun of it, 99% of the time I play poker against other players. It's the only game you can win at a casino in the long run. I just took home $500 in 2 hours playing $1/$3 on the weekend. If you play conservatively, a $100 stake can last you awhile, but since it's no limit, you can lose it all in one bad hand.

I go the odd time in a year and typically donate $40-60 and walk out empty. I did down in Niagara once walk out with $400 by playing slots and putting in $40 on slots that were a quarter. Playing quarter or penny slots will last ya a while. Some people switch machines after a while too if they aren't winning. Just pull the voucher out and use it on another machine. Video blackjack also seems good. Just go in with a set amount you want to donate and see how it goes. I haven't been the past few years, but shortly after the pandemic I found the buffet wasn't as what it was before unless things have changed now. And it wouldn't surprise me if they tightened things due to a cyber attack. They are in the business of making money...
