That account is private so I can't see too much, but I don't think that's the Phoenix at the Playmate.
Agree. I'm pretty darn sure as well, although I'm a bit unsure if the dancer I think is Phoenix is indeed Phoenix. Hope to resolve this uncertainty soon (maybe tomorrow). That account is private so I can't see too much, but I don't think that's the Phoenix at the Playmate.
I've never spent up-close time with Phoenix, only seen her dance and walk around the club, but quite sure that's not her.
Have you ever considered wearing a kilt?I'll just have to continue relying on my boyish charm.
No. That's another stripper named Phoenix, who was dancing at 77 until months ago. I think she stopped (but I could be wrong). But it's not the Phoenix from Playmate.
I don’t wait. I go to the girls who are of interest to me and ask them to come sit at my table. After a generous CR visit, they tend to come see me next time I visit. I’m sure if you go see Tiffany at the bar and buy her a drink then she’ll be seeing you next time and the next time and so on.Friday (9/13) at the 'Mate and it was definitely an unlucky Friday the thirteenth for me.
Arrived about 2:15 and the club seemed fairly quiet.
Saw Samantha, Phoenix, Candy, Teo, Bianca, Ruby, Chanelle (glasses), Jaya, Penelope, Tiffany and Lola. Also noticed the dancer formerly known as Vanessa. Apparently Vanessa is now to be called Lolita. Yes, Lolita - a moniker that strikes this observer as a trifle too Nabokovian for a lady of her ample charms.
Did not see Mia, Kate or Olivia.
Ruby was coming and going in the early part of the afternoon, but was observed in heels and onstage later on. Penelope again looked very nice under the lights but reverted to taking off her shoes onstage this afternoon (as did Ruby). Teo appeared onstage twice while I was in the club. Tiffany was really impressive during her stage appearance - a lovely, classic look.
There was steady traffic to the CR, with Jaya, Penelope and Tiffany seeming to be most popular today, although many other ladies visited.
Some of the dancers seemed to spend a lot of time at the tables of certain patrons and it was difficult not to notice that these encounters did not result in CR visits. To cite one example, Bianca (along with Lola and occasionally Phoenix) sat with a regular patron (I've noticed him sitting at the same spot a number of times) chatting and drinking for most of the afternoon. Bianca did not appear to take a CR visit while I was present - Lola and Phoenix did, but with other gents.
As usual, it seemed that I was entirely invisible to all of the dancers today. My attempts to make eye contact with Penelope did not pan out. Jaya avoided my gaze. Tiffany seemed to decide who to approach from a distance, walked directly to target and then adjourned to her position at the bar immediately after emerging from the CR. As noted previously, Tiffany really, really likes to hang out at the bar. At one point later in the afternoon, Tiffany spent more than an hour (an hour!) sitting at the bar chatting with Teo, the bartender and her phone with her back facing the expanse of the club. To be fair to the gorgeous Tiffany, she did have three visits to the CR at that point (the third one felt like a major marathon) so maybe she was not interested in a fourth time around. Tiffany is certainly entitled to position her lovely behind on whatever bar stool she chooses, facing whichever way she prefers.
From my arrival at around 2:15 to my departure at roughly 6:15 not a single dancer approached. Apparently, I have invented a very effective form of 'stripper repellent'.
Perhaps I need to establish myself as a 'regular' of one or two dancers, so that I might be recognized and approached by them upon entering the club. Enjoyed this type of situation in the past at another club so maybe I should endeavour to recreate this at the 'Mate.
Enough whining for now I guess. Left today with budget intact anyway.
Asking a server to request a dancer come to my table is something I've never done. I have been 'helped' by dancers who offer to ask another girl to stop by or at least volunteer to convey my interest - always thought this was very generous on their part.I've also asked Denise - waitress to have so and so come see me in the past if my magnetism is not working
Tiffany is selective. She also has an active Onlyfans going on as well. She drinks red wine if you want to buy her a drink
When I used to go to clubs here in Toronto more often, there were a number of times where I'd enlist a server to get a dancer's attention. Helps if you're a regular and/or a decent tipper.Asking a server to request a dancer come to my table is something I've never done. "Tiffany is selective." Interesting. To my mind this raises a number of issues, from the specific - does any particular patron (say, me) meet a dancer's 'selectivity criteria' - to the general - just how disrespectful or disgusting does a patron have to be before a dancer can validly refuse his request for a CR visit.
While in the 'Mate yesterday (9/13) afternoon, I was reminded of how in my past experience it seemed to be so much easier to convey interest and have a dancer approach. My usual strategy (at Barb's) would be to sit close enough to the stage, but at a table, to catch the dancer's eye when she was onstage, then applaud and pay attention to her, watching, smiling, even nodding slightly or mouthing "beautiful" or "lovely" as she descended from the stage. Then, anticipating her entry into the club after her post-stage dressing room visit, again try to catch her eye or at least pay direct attention to her as she emerged from the back. Most times this would result in the dancer stopping to chat. This approach just does not seem to register at the 'Mate. Neither Penelope nor Tiffany seemed to be casting glances around when they descended from the stage and then emerged from the dressing room. Jaya did seem to take a long look around after coming out of the CR but then quickly walked off. Certainly do not mean to single out these particular ladies, though.
Previously in this thread, out-of-town visitors to the 'Mate have commented on the seeming reticence of dancers here to 'circulate' and, while I appreciate that it's a drag for ladies to just go from table to table, it seems to me that keeping one eye open for an approving look (not just a glance, but a direct gaze of appreciation accompanied by a smile) might prove to be worthwhile for the ladies. I have suggested to these 'out-of-towners' that they may have to be more direct in their approach than they are accustomed to being in, say. 'Sauga. Looks like it is time for me to heed my own advice.
Would be very interested to hear other views about these matters.
I mostly use the same tactics as you. At PM I sit in the chairs near the stage but not the chairs that are behind a table usually. I find with a tiny neibhborhood club like this the dancers are less likely to approach stranger as they have regular guys who are in there everyday. Putting a five on the stage during a girl's dance sometimes works to get their attention but even then not always. i think its an irrational pride thing that I prefer a dancer who comes to me and doesn't treat me as invisible. Mostly I try to catch their eye like you say, smiling and maybe nodding.Asking a server to request a dancer come to my table is something I've never done. I will often gently wave "hi" at a dancer to get her attention. Although I won't do so if she is chatting with another customer.I mostly use the same tactics as you. I've seen someone pay one dancer (I believe $10 or $20) to bring another dancer over. I've not done that.Asking a server to request a dancer come to my table is something I've never done. I was there at 2. Where were you sitting?Stopped by the 'Mate on yet another Friday (9/20) afternoon, arriving at about 2:00.
At first, the overall atmosphere was as subdued as I've seen it for a while - I've been in on a number of consecutive Fridays recently. Things picked up somewhat a bit later.
Lolita (formerly Vanessa) was on stage directly after I sat down and then Alison appeared in a very 'Lolita'-esque outfit - white knee socks, tiny tartan skirt and glasses. Later in the afternoon, Alison looked very nice on stage.
Also saw Candy, Ashley, Chanelle (w/glasses), Monica, Samantha, Lola, Bianca, Penelope (saw Penelope onstage twice over a long afternoon and she was as energetic and lovely as ever under the lights), Paris (arrived later in the afternoon), Tiffany and Phoenix. Probably forgetting a few - after the DJ switch, a couple of very curvy ebony ladies arrived. Phoenix again approached and asked me to smile. A new (at least to me) busty blonde server was in the club today.
Was hoping to see Olivia, but she did not appear - nor did Kate or Mia.
As usual, Penelope more or less ignored me - I noticed one gent swooping into Penlope's path immediately after she descended from the stage, so I guess that's what may be required to attract her attention. Personally, I'd be a bit hesitant to talk to a dancer as she made her way from the stage to the dressing room, but that's just me.
As was the case last week, Penelope and Tiffany seemed to be most popular for CR visits. After my usual strategies did not manage to garner her attention, I approached Tiffany at one of her customary positions at the bar and found her to be very lovely. Tiffany later suggested that she was not so good about "approaching strangers" but hastened to add that this was "nothing mean" on her part. In the CR, Tiffany and I decided that we were both afflicted with the malady known as RBF - "resting bitch face". Tiffany mentioned that she was in "most afternoons from 1:00 to 7:30".
One of the quieter afternoons I've experiened at the 'Mate lately, but it was fun to meet and have a nice CR visit with Tiffany.
In the early part of the afternoon, was sitting at a table on the raised area across from the stage opposite the CR beside the DJ booth, first row and first table in from the steps - my usual spot. After someone sat at that table while I was having a walk around, I relocated to the raised area in front of the CR and then to one of the stools along the mural wall hoping to catch Tiffany's eye while she stood at the bar or when she exited the CR area. Ultimately, I had to approach Tiffany as she stood by the bar. To be fair, on this particular afternoon (9/20), Tiffany did not sit at the bar facing away from the floor of the club as I had noticed last week.I was there at 2. Where were you sitting?
