How Far Will You Go?

Ottawa
It probably depends on how frequently one hobbies. If it's just once in a while, like me, then a trip across town isn't so bad. (I can add that I lived in Toronto for 25 years so what Ottawans think of as bad traffic actually isn't.) Travelling across Ottawa at any time other than rush hour or on days when the hockey team is playing, I've rarely taken more than 30 min to get from Orleans to Stittsville, which is not at all bad. More important to me is ease and anonymity of parking. My personal favourite would be to drive out to a rural location, makes for a more relaxing visit.

I really wish I could have a rural incall space, having a quiet place with a hot tub or pool would be so much fun. I just don’t know if logistically or financially it would make sense though.
Im already a very low volume provider, which works well for me. But it would be counterintuitive to then make myself less available by being too far away from the majority of clients living in the Ottawa area.
Also I’m trying to factor in, if this hypothetical new space were to be a shared space that I could invite other providers to use, the area would have to make sense for it to work for them and their clients as well.

I really appreciate all this feedback though. It’s given me lots to consider. Keep it coming if you’ve got more to share!

So no one take an hour oc bus for 30 min session and bus back? 😀
It’s funny you mention this!
I used to have a client who would take the bus for around 2.5 hrs round trip to see me.
He would book dates usually 3+ hours so the travel time was worth the investment I guess.

I asked why he didn’t Uber and apparently he just had really bad anxiety and the bus was easier…

I don't hobby in Gatineau. I have probably missed out on some great providers but I just don't like going there at all.
Yeah, I know a few providers do well in Gatineau.
But I feel like with certain times of day, getting across any of those bridges can be a pain in the ass depending on where you’re coming from as well.
Now if you’re already living or working in Gatineau that’s probably a lot more convenient!

I was just curious about the distance clients are willing to travel outside the Ottawa core.

If there was SPs or MAs hosting in Findlay Creek, Riverside South, Stittsville, Manotick, or Richmond areas, would this be too far for you guys?

I’m also very curious to know which areas of the city (or outside the city) are most convenient or most popular.

Is there a demand for more suburban incall options?
I live somewheres on highway 2, Findlay Creek or further south would be grand. As it is, I already travel 80-100kns for a visit.

About investing in a place and remt it out to a few chosen select providers for them to host a week a month or other month when you're not using it?

Unfortunately that model would be way too risky.
That leaves the door open for way too many unknowns…property damage, parties, noise complaints. The list goes on. I’m sure you’ve heard of AirBnb horror stories. lol imagine trying to make an insurance claim after renting out a space to a SW and you don’t even know their name 🫠

Trust me when I tell you, running a shared space is its own business and comes with many responsibilities, risks and challenges. And it’s no where near like renting an AirBnb where you have insurance and some protection against certain liabilities.

I used to take 45 mins to hour one way bus ride to go downtown but would do 2-3 sessions there.
Would start off with a massage only place like Ting Ting (retired sadly) as foreplay then go to Brass Club (Now Alpha) or CMJ ( Now Hush Club).
One time started with a SP then saw Ting Ting for massage, which got me all horned up, so went to Alpha 😁. Good times!!!

Now I will only do max 30 mins drive (one way) to see a well reviewed provider. Haven't booked a session in downtown since Covid.

I never go to Gatineau and won’t travel more than 15 minutes. I usually have them come to me but if I do go out it’s in Bells Corners only as the rest is too far.

I was an avid bus rider until they introduced lrt and f up all the bus route.

As for distance, I personally dislike downtown due to parking but OK where ever.

I would love to see a provider with a pool or private beach access. I love to swim but have never gone skinny dipping. I have gone to Manotick, Kanata and as far as the North end of Gatineau. It has to be worth it though.
