Honestly, I think the government fucked up in the way it handled COVID.
It should have thrown all you conspiracy theorists in jail on Day 1, so you didn't wander the streets evading your social responsibility to get vaccinated. If you and your buddies were jailed, you could have infected and killed each other and COVID would have been over earlier for us responsible citizens.

Covid is still a thing, and as it keeps evolving and people like you don't keep getting updated boosters, or even one vaccination, it will keep mutating and spreading.

I got Covid for the first time one month after my 7th booster last November. The symptoms were super mild, despite my being in my late 70's.
At first I thought it was just the sniffles, but after a couple of days, and since I had the home test I decided to find out, and to my surprise it showed positive for Covid.
I immediately phoned my pharmacy, told them about the positive test, and asked them about Paxlovid, which as far as I know is the most effective treatment available if taken early enough.
Apart from a very unpleasant metallic taste in my mouth from the pills, at the end of the 5 days of taking Paxlovid I tested negative, and the bad taste disappeared
But then a week later I experienced sniffles again, and tested positive for a second time. I phoned the pharmacy and they said that "rebound Covid" is not unusual for people who take Paxlovid, but there was no need to take it again.
A week later I was symptom free again, tested negative, and that was that.
Still I wonder how bad it would have been at my age if I had not been vaxxed.
This I actually agree with and said it from the beginning. I’m all for the vaccines. I’m not in support of mandating it. No one has the right to force something into or out of someone else’s body. Period.

That is not free choice. So yeah - some people were compelled.
The doctors RUN the professional medical bodies. If there was a reasonable # of doctors who agreed that the vaxxes were not useful, the College would never have pushed vaxxes. Just like the College currently does not push any quack remedies that the profession as a whole doesn't accept as useful.
In actual fact, medical support for the jab was overwhelming. 95% of doctors got the jab.
A dozen or so asshole doctors defied the overwhelming opinion of the 99.999999999% of their profession who supported the vaxxes.
