One first thing to learn growing up is NOT to do what reality stars do or did and NOT to think like a reality star. Reality stars opinions about politics should be given no serious attention by anyone.
For your analogy to work, Trump's business and negotiations experience would also have to be fake, but they are not. Do you ignore cooking tips from chefs just because they provide their tips on a TV show? The show is produced to be entertaining, but the expertise that it draws on (in the cooking show example, and in the case of Trump's business experience) is real.
In a perfect world reality stars and some other public figures should be prohibited from running for office because the general public is so incredibly stupid that they fall in love with them and elect them
