How come some SPs and agencies charge more for longer bookings?

I'm pretty new to hobbying and am trying to wrap my head around pricing models. At a lot of places the rate you're paying gets worse the longer you book for.

For example, one of the VIP companions at SFT charges 230 for 30 min, 270 for 45 min, and 330 for 1 hour. I don't even see longer times than an hour listed. Is this because they'd rather see clients in shorter windows to squeeze more bookings in across the day? Or is it because some guys can get more 'shots' out in the hour session? At some of the Asian agencies I've seen "1 shot" or "2 shot" listed right next to the rates. Are there any other reasons I'm not thinking of?

In your experiences, have you gentlemen felt rushed or improperly served when you've book at places that encourage shorter sessions?

Welcome to this particular corner of heaven and hell.

Market rates. Girls need time between sessions so half an hour costs like 2/3 of what an hour costs.

They’re not trying to “encourage” anything except optimizing cash.

Almost all girls/agencies will take longer bookings - it’s actually much more profitable because there’s no unpaid downtime.

It is a bit weird that the 15 minutes additional time increases in cost per each 15 minutes increment, rather than staying the same, or "Heaven Forbid", decreasing.

In the original post, at SFT it is an extra $40 for 45 minutes vs. 30 minutes, but then the next 15 minutes to take you to a one hour session will cost you an extra $60.

At DD its a similar situation. For "Diamond Dolls" it's 190 for 30 minutes, 230 for 30 minutes, but then 290 for an hour.

So there is less "down time" involved in the longer continuous session, but a higher cost for the second additional 15 minutes...

If 230 is for a half hour, you’re getting a much better rate for an hour at 330. (2 half hours would be 460) It seems like the full hour is a no brainer if you’re looking at value for your dollar vs time with the SP. Skip the 45 min option.

Having said that I always prefer longer sessions and 2 hours is my preference. If MSOG without rushing is what you’d like I’d suggest asking the booker about longer sessions and being diligent with your research into which girls would be an appropriate fit. Or look at some of the many quality indys out there.

Though the increments between 30-45-60 are a bit puzzling, you still get a better deal /min with a longer session.

I suspect in some / many cases not a lot of thought is put into the specifics of setting these rates, eg calculating $ / min. That’s just me.

Another thought about the big jump between 45 and 60 min is maybe with 45 min few guys will look for A second shot, whereas many more will in a 60 min session.

You're right. The increment increases are just a little confusing. My consumer mind is so conditioned to associate buying more with getting way bigger savings.
I appreciate it when the savings are clearer, or if an indy/agency just has flat increments.

Sometimes it feels like the rate structure is sending a message on preferred duration of time (like MP’s that really bump the cost over 1 hour) and sometimes it feels like the provider is just not good at math (some independents). Go for what makes sense to you. My answer to your question above is No, but, following my own advice, I’ve never really pushed the envelope.

You are right. A lot of times it is based on preference. We out-price what we don’t want to do.

I have been getting requests to put dinner dates back on my menu since I decided in July to stop anything longer than 2 hrs.

I’m thinking about it but will probably make it $1500 for like 4-5 hours when my rate is 250/hr. Math-wise it would not make sense, but it takes a lot to be “on” for that long and I have to make it worth my time.
