Did you watch this one??

She doesn't like how Vance is bad-mouthing Walz although she likes Vance as a marine.

I like this woman...She's right. Walz needs address that lied about carrying weapons of war into war.

Has he done this personally yet?

If you were Trump at the time...With all of his families wealth and privilege...Would you have gone to fight in Vietnam?

Draft dodgers were coming up here in droves at the time. Nobody seemed to have a problem that. Christ Pierre Trudeau welcomed them, lol.

Soldiers coming back were scorned by the public. There were mass demonstrations against American involvement.
Hell, no. If I was a rich, spoiled, selfish, narcissistic little sonofabitch, I would have had daddy bribe a doctor to write a lying bullshit medical note for me too.

Why should I go get killed with the poor whites and the black people when I'm a rich little prick who can get drunk on champagne on daddy's yacht while getting my dick sucked!

Not before a large part of Minnesota burned to the ground!!

He delayed in taking decisive action trying assess the political climate of the moment. Of this there is no doubt.

He's responsible for millions and millions of dollars in damages and untold human suffering.

He and the Democrat sycophants will never own that though.

I watched that interview on CNN when it aired and the individual comes off as an envious angry surely Republican voter.
That individual was his direct superior...Although he hadn't been given his orders, he knew he was getting deployed. They were building a team just for that. He knew, it's all in the interview. Here's the simple facts. He had 24 years in. He's was eligible to retire. He didn't want to go to Iraq. He bowed out. Just like Trump saw an opportunity to bail on Vietnam. Just own it.

It must be a good sign about Walz if he's pissed off a Maple MAGAt like Mitch to this degree.
You can usually tell how worried they are by the level of panic posting.

The interview appears uncharitable and possibly a deliberate hit job. The only reason that Vance didn't retire as a Command SM was that he was short 1 course.

The reason that he quit the NG was that he filed to enter the Congressional Race in FEBRUARY 2005. The guy had 24 years in and gets to retire and run for Congress. He had other plans. Trump's "other plans" for missing VN was to be a spoiled rich little dick.

Here's Vance's wiki bio. Let's read the part about his military service, shall we?....

With his father's encouragement, Walz enlisted in the Army National Guard the day after he turned 17.[4][13] His father had served in the Korean War and paid for his education degree with the G.I. Bill,[13] and he wanted his son to have the same opportunity.[13]

Walz served in the National Guard for 24 years after enlisting in 1981.[32] During his military career, he had postings in Arkansas, Texas, the Arctic Circle, New Ulm, Minnesota, Italy, and elsewhere.[32] He trained in heavy artillery.[32] During his service, he worked in disaster response postings following floods and tornadoes and was deployed overseas.[32] In 1989, he earned the title of Nebraska Citizen-Soldier of the Year.[33]

In 2001, Walz completed the 20 years of service needed for retirement from the Guard, but he reenlisted after the September 11, 2001 attacks.[34] In August 2003, Walz deployed with the Minnesota National Guard to Vicenza, Italy, for nine months to serve with the European Security Force as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.[35][36][37] Walz attained the rank of command sergeant major near the end of his service[38] and briefly was the senior enlisted soldier of 1st Battalion, 125th Field Artillery Regiment.[39] His decorations included the Army Commendation Medal and two Army Achievement Medals.[40][41]

In February 2005, Walz submitted official documents to run for the U.S. House of Representatives.[42] The next month, the National Guard announced a possible deployment to Iraq within the next two years.[43] Walz retired from military service in May 2005, and according to the Minnesota National Guard, he submitted his retirement papers five to seven months before he retired.[43][44] He later explained that he wanted to focus on his campaign for Congress and did not want to violate the Hatch Act, which forbids some political activities by federal government employees.[42][43]

During his political career, Republicans, notably rival Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance, have used the timing of his military retirement as a smear campaign that has been compared to swiftboating.[43][45][46] A National Guard colleague, Joe Eustice, recalled that at the time Walz retired, his unit's deployment was only a "rumor" and not yet confirmed, while his enlisted superior, Doug Julin, claimed that Walz bypassed his retirement approval, instead receiving retirement approval from two higher ranked officers.[47][48][49] The Minnesota National Guard confirmed that Walz retired two months before his unit was officially notified in July 2005 of its future deployment to Iraq.[34][50]

Walz carried and used weapons of war during his service when the U.S. was at war, but he never carried weapons in active combat. In a 2018 statement against gun violence, he said, "We can make sure that those weapons of war, that I carried in war, is the only place where those weapons are at". His choice of the words "in war" rather than "during war" was questioned by the press. Vance said that he had claimed to have been in active combat.[51]

Though he was a command sergeant major at the time of his retirement, Walz's final military rank for retirement benefit purposes is master sergeant, as he had not completed the required academic coursework to remain a command sergeant major by his final day of service. The downgrade of one rank was effective from the day before his military retirement.[32][42]

Actually, no. Read your own article....

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has said he called Walz in the evening of May 27, shortly after he’d heard of a Target store being looted, to request that the National Guard be sent in.

“We expressed the seriousness of the situation. The urgency was clear,” Frey told the Star Tribune in August 2020. “He did not say yes,” Frey told the newspaper. “He said he would consider it.”

A Star Tribune investigation into the exchange found that Frey’s staff felt his conversation with Walz constituted a formal request that the guard be sent. Through public records requests, the newspaper discovered texts confirming that Frey had a conversation making a request to Walz — but that no confirmation came from Walz or his office that the guard was being activated on May 27. Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo also requested National Guard assistance in a May 27 evening email to Minnesota Commissioner of Public Safety John Harrington, according to emails provided by Frey's office.

Frey has said his office followed up on the morning of May 28 with a written request to Walz that the National Guard be deployed. St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter sent a similar letter hours later on May 28.

Frey’s and Walz’s offices have publicly disputed what would have constituted a formal request for National Guard assistance. Walz’s office has said that a verbal request is not considered a formal request. Federal regulations are not explicit about whether the request must come in writing.

Walz did not activate the Minnesota National Guard until the afternoon of May 28, when his office issued a news release announcing the move. And moments later, the Minnesota National Guard said on social media that the unit was “currently in process of” responding to the request.

Later that night, at 10:41 p.m. local time, the Minnesota National Guard posted on X that it had “activated” 500 soldiers in and around the Twin Cities.

So Walz was urged to send in the MN NG on the evening of May 27 and activated the NG on the afternoon of May 28. Given how important the decision was, that seems more than responsive to me.

Lindell, Giuliani, Manafort and Bannon will all get cabinet posts. Boebert will be Secretary of State.

The Democrat publicists have crafted a lovely narrative of Walz's career on wiki. He sounds like the second coming of Audie Murphy

I'll stick with the interview by Doug Julin on CNN for the real time facts. He had more to add at the end but the host made sure to get out of the interview fast once it started to go sideways, lol.
