As I said, it is now a requirement to BUY her platform?

Nope, took a copy out of NFPL.

Welcome to 2024. It's a visual medium world, with a 24 hour news cycle. And she is a political weather vane.

Which right now is pointing toward a debate with chicken man. He doesn't like yours then give him his own and we can have two. The contrast between ABC and Fux should be instructional for all...

Really? Seems she saw drug possession charges as a means to slave labor.

Vs Trump and the First Step Act.

And he has already made inroads on the black vote. 15% and rising. With the narrow margins in swing states, this is significant.
I hate to break it to you, but prison labour was specifically carved out in the 13th amendment to not be considered slavery....It was designed to create cheap labour in the south, and directly led to the eventual mass incarceration of black people. Now, should Harris have allowed the release of prisoners? Sure. Would it have sent the GOP into a tizzy? Probably. I can see the Faux News headlines....

And, as for this supposed increase in black support for Trump....Was that before or after his disastrous Q&A with the NABJ?

Harris is apparently making big inroads with the Hispanic community, which is another one Trump needs to win. It'll be interesting to see how this all shakes out come November, but the bottom line is Trump is scared....

The last time a North American country elected someone based on them legalizing pot, we ended up with the biggest clown show in history ruining the country. So if that's the reason why you think she'll get voted in, be forewarned.

I think you may be underestimating where the black vote will go. They're not stupid. They've seen what's happened to the country over the past 4 years and won't keep buying into the wokeness smokescreen.

Considering Harris in her previous career as DA put away many blacks over minor pot charges, I don't think she is fooling anyone.

Trump has done more for black Americans than Harris and Biden combined.
That is a hilarious take, and one Trump keeps trying to spread. I agree, the African-American community in the US is not stupid. But, statistically, do you think they are better off now then when Trump was in power?

I mean, Trump thinks selling shitty sneakers and being a felon will make him more relatable to blacks. That is pretty fucking insulting...

Those stats are misleading. As the article states, 2020/2021 figures were influenced by pandemic relief and then spiked even higher than Trump when the relief stopped.

The lowest supplemental figure for Black individual poverty under Trump was 14.7% in 2020.

The supplemental figure for Black individual poverty spiked to 17.2% in 2022 after the expiry of pandemic relief initiatives that had lowered the figure in 2020 and 2021.

There is an old saying: Lies, damn lies and statistics. And, at the same time, you need to see things from how many in the black community view Trump. A man who has met with white supremacists frequently. His approval rating in that community is still well under 20%. And, it should be pointed out that Biden did elevate more blacks out of poverty quicker than any other president, but it was the GOP that allowed them to slide back into it.

Black Americans love Trump. They can see through all the Democrat propaganda trying to smear him. btw why do liberals always accuse their political rivals as being racists? Is that just an involuntary reaction or something? Seriously.

His approval in the black community has doubled since he first ran in 2016. Probably because the black community has realized that the Dems just offer virtue signals and wokeness and they've have an opportunity to see that over the past 4 years as nothing but smoke/mirrors.

And black Americans are smart enough to realize that Kamala is a fraud and trying too hard to convince everyone that now that she's running for office, she's black and not Indian. In my opinion she's really neither, and is more white than anything else.

Yes I know. And California loves to take advantage of that carve out. And she PUBLICLY said that. So that means she supported what you call GOP policy(although to not add in who was in charge of the South is disingenuous.....)

Recent polls seem to refute this:

Basically, 70% of blacks support Harris, while only 12% support Trump. Apparently, they can see through the GOP bullshit, like AI generated photos of Trump with black women, or all the white faces at Blacks for Trump tents....As for the racists stuff....I think saying that blacks love Trump because he is selling sneakers or is a convicted felon is sort of telling. But, you go on living in your dream world...

The bottom line is that come November, the black community will likely vote for Harris by a 3-1 margin, if not more. They are savvy enough to know when they are being used, and it sure isn't by the Democrats. And the bot army and fake photos isn't going to change that.

Here's the reality about all that....Yes, the Democrats were pro-slavery. 150+ years ago. And the Republicans ended slavery. That was all well and good for about 100 or so years, when in the early 1960s they basically switched polices with each other. Democrats became the party of civil rights, but lost the south (and the so-called Dixie-crats) who quickly joined the GOP. So, the party of Lincoln became the party that fought against desegregation and what not...

And yet Newsom is rounding up homeless. And Kamala kept people in prison to be used as labor(specifically dangerous labor, fighting fires).

So perhaps then they aren't representing Democrat values?

I’m more concerned with Kamala repeatedly saying that we need “equity” which means helping those who had different starting positions in life to end up in the same place.
This is more socialist than fucking Soviet Union.

Deflection won't help. This is going to go full out in the black community. And Trump also brought in the First Step Act.

As well I'd say Mitch McConnell was far more instrumental than Trump on the SCOTUS. That was his baby as well as all the other judicial appointments. You don't think Trump actually knew all of them do you?

I'm sure this will be part of the GOPs attack strategy. But, do you think it will stick? I mean, you can look at all the shit Trump has done to the black community, like vilifying the Central Park 5, or being sued by the government for his refusal to rent to black people, or how about him not wanting black accountants (and only wanting jews...). Do you think he gets a clean slate for a history of treating black people poorly? First Step Act is great, but will it be enough to erase all of this history???
