Unbelievable how an old man's ego is destroying any chance of the Democrats winning the Presidency in November...
All you hear about is Trump's ego. Trump might have a bigger ego than any politicians, but Biden's ego is now being revealed. It's not uncommon.

Regardless of what one might argue about the 2020 election, Biden didn't go out and run a winning campaign. It was granted to him by his association with Obama. COVID meant Biden could run a light campaign with limited appearances.

I don't think Biden and those around him realize he has to run a far more vigorous campaign than what we have seen from him.

I don't think Joe can run a light campaign this time. Joe is definitely on the defensive!! A lot of Joe's donors could just give up on him??

Its not just the ego. Trump is deranged. He's a psychopath about to turn into dementia like his father.

At least he doesn't refer to the late great Hannibal Lecter the actor.
Joe has full on dementia. It's probably better for Trump's chances of winning, that Biden stay in the race. Biden's cognitive abilities are only going to get worse!!

And Trump will give trillions to the billionaires and cut social security and healthcare. Yeah lets go with Trump and make the US a worst country that it already is.

I'm guessing Biden, his family and team are playing a game of chicken with party leaders and big donors. They obviously don't want to leave the White House. They might think they can stand firm. The closer they get to the convention there will be no turning back. The party and donors will have no choice but to support him.

What the Biden team is doing is of course very risky for Democrats. I'm sure there are a lot of discussions and pressure being applied.
This is such a circus I don't even know what to make of it. It's like we are watch a movie.

I think the reality is they don't have a replacement and it would take too long to build up a new candidate.

Vance made a comment basically saying Dems are run by a bunch of Cat-Ladies with no children. In a weird way, it's true and nobody really wants to vote for that.

Biden bites back at top Dems expressing doubts over 2024 campaign: ‘Literally gave us all Donald Trump’

President Biden is digging in his heels and vowing to get “back on the campaign trail next week” despite mounting calls from Democrats to stand down — even lashing out at his party’s leaders and accusing them of helping Donald Trump get elected in 2016 when they cast him aside to boost Hillary Clinton.

Former President Barack Obama, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and New York Sen. Chuck Schumer are just three of the powerful Dems who have apparently counseled Biden, 81, to throw in the towel.

Did Joe Biden just accuse the DNC of rigging the 2016 primary in favor of Hillary Clinton?

Now why would he say that I wonder?

How does the Democratic leadership take back the fact they said openly he is unfit to run if he refuses to step down?

So much media fodder

How about the millions and millions of people walking the streets that vehemently preach he’s perfectly fine. They’re the ones more scary than the thought of Joe Biden at the helm of the USA.

Barack Obama the "puppet master". The power behind the throne, as it were...

A portion of an article from the New York Times today:

"Secluded in Rehoboth, Biden Stews at Allies’ Pressure to Drop Out of the Race
As he recovers from Covid, the president has grown resentful toward Democratic congressional leaders and former President Barack Obama.

While Mr. Biden has publicly insisted he is in the race to stay, his resolve has been shaken this week.

By Peter Baker, Michael D. Shear and Katie Rogers
The reporters cover the White House.
Published July 19, 2024Updated July 20, 2024, 11:42 a.m. ET

Sick with Covid and abandoned by allies, President Biden has been fuming at his Delaware beach house, increasingly resentful about what he sees as an orchestrated campaign to drive him out of the race and bitter toward some of those he once considered close, including his onetime running mate Barack Obama.

Mr. Biden has been around politics long enough to assume that the leaks appearing in the media in recent days are being coordinated to raise the pressure on him to step aside, according to people close to him. He considers Representative Nancy Pelosi, the former House speaker, the main instigator, but is irritated at Mr. Obama as well, seeing him as a puppet master behind the scenes."
