What part of what I said confuses you?

Every response you make to anyone includes minimalistic random comments, memes, and Xitter posts so your responses are incoherent and jumbled.
You have a one track mind, skoob.
Your view is narrow and ancient, its the trickle down theory or austerity, or the Chicago school of economics.

I try to give you different ways of thinking about the issue but you have a small track, it instantly jumps into some McCarthy anti communism, free market thing. What you can't understand is every single problem that you whine about in society is an offshoot of the growing divide between rich and poor.

Who says the parking is just for the spa?
Try to remember what is going on, skoob.
The $650 million ($300-600 million when this was published), underground, parking lot is part of the secret 95 year lease that DoFo signed.
This deal is so shitty that DoFo had to pass a bill making it impossible to sue him over it in the future.

Its like the billions DoFo wasted on Bill 124, a bill to punish nurses and drive them out of the province.

Ford is not proposing the closure of LCBO stores at this time. If the LCBO truly is a better/cheaper way for consumers, that will be demonstrated by sales, even in the face of competition. If not, consumers will vote with their wallets and buy their booze at Walmart, or wherever. Why are you so opposed to the truth being proven?

My bet would be, just like everything sold in convenience stores, sometimes people will buy products there when it is more convenient (even at a higher cost), and the rest of the time they will buy products where they are cheapest. LCBO will survive, just at lower sales.
Why are you so opposed to the truth being proven? It's a very simple answer, It's a stupid business move!!!!!

We own 100% of the pie. Name me one company that would willingly give up a peice of their 100% market share?

The argument here is that the LCBO makes money for the province which in turn is spent on the people.
If the intent of the business is to make money to be shared with the public, then in this case, per capita makes sense and is the better measurement because it shows the relationship of money-to-people within that specific province.

In other cases, GDP is more appropriate. Economists typically use both when comparing countries.

Keep in mind that this strike is about the union wanting to dictate where products can be sold and what types. That's not their decision to make.

Having more choice & convenience, like everywhere else in the world, is something we are lacking in this province.
It's an argument that doesn't make sense. Per capita is based on population so that will greatly affect the numbers. We have 3-4 times the population of Alberta. Second, what really matters is the total number. Ontario brings in 3 times the profits compared to Alberta. This number is the aggregated with other profits. So per capita means nothing. What matters is the total dollars you collect and spend. Hell, even thirdly, no business looks at how they perform per capita, the business goal is to keep keep share holder value, in this current model, We are the shareholders.

Like I said, take them to court. This is not an essential service, so they can strike as they see fit.

I'd rather keep the money, then have the illusion of more choices. LCBO store hours are almost identical to groceries stores. If you can't find time between 10am-9pm, then you should lay off the booze.

Except DoFO is not dismantling the LCBO. He's allowing mixed-cocktails to be sold at private retailers like everywhere else in the world.
That's hardly something that would rank on any list of "worst moves". In fact, it's a long overdue move that offers the public choice & convenience.
It will be a compounding loss.

Just like the highway, 20 years from now, when you actually see the money given away to Oligarchy.

I don't know why you are so hellbent to be controlled by the rich. It's clear Ford owes someone a favour.

Yeah...he owes the public a favour so that we have what everywhere else in the world has: choice, competition & convenience.

All this outrage so that mixed cocktails can be sold by retailers? Suddenly the sky is falling and doom & gloom prevails?

Wow.

Where do the profits go?
Answer: to the people of the province. Why wouldn't you look at per capita as a measure? If they use per capita for how much money goes to each person for healthcare, then why would this be any different?

Population is relative.
Smaller population, typically less sales. Less sales, less taxes being collected. Yet Alberta benefits more per capita on private liquor sales than Ontario. Why do you think that is?

Why do you believe the LCBO union has the power to dictate where products should be sold? That is not part of the collective bargaining agreement. Then why are you supporting a union who is striking over something they don't control or have agreed to?

So in other words, you don't have confirmed information, plans, etc.
I've already said multiple times that I don't either.

Difference is, you've already passed judgement, while I'm optimistic that developing Ontario Place using private investors that will sink $millions into it means progress and it's the right thing to do.

You're the one who keeps saying "trickle down" to distract while avoiding the fact that businesses make it possible for socialism to exist. Everything you mention as some kind of fix, actually is a punishment to businesses, workers, investors and progress.

You blame wealthy people as if they became wealthy by some kind of lottery or criminal activity and feel entitled to their money just because they have more of it.

Everything you preach is actually the means to get to a Communist state. Your ideology is identical even though you try and mask it "democratic socialism".

Pretty words to hide an ugly truth.

Difference is I've followed the news and lawsuits.
All you've got is a little DoFo jizm on your chin.

The same way that 5 day work weeks and lunch breaks only exist because of socialism and unions.

That was jizm on my chin...that was some mixed cocktail that I purchased from a private retailer that I hope will also open a store at Ontario Place.

You can go back to your Xitter source of truth now. Jodie Foster asked me to tell you that.

Always going back to 100+ years ago?
Can you maybe stick to the current century to desperately come up with reasons unions are still relevant?

No, skoob.
You are lying, we've shown you over and over again.

Profits from liquor retail sales send billions to Ontario every year.
Profits from private stores will go to those corporate owners instead.
I'm not lying...you are just inventing new math.
Alberta is your friend.
