I have cable TV. It works fine. But has anybody found a simple indoor antenna that picks up additional broadcast networks and local stations that provides some value and reception quality?

Look up Antenna Man on youtube. You will learn a lot.
Over the Air tv delivers a cleaned, less compressed HD signal when compared to cable.
Particularly in audio, though I don't know why my ears hear that way.
Indoor antenna is usually a limitation.
I found and gave a pal a pair of ganged 4 bay outdoor antennas to a pal.
He lives on the 6th floor facing the lake and pulls in most Toronto and Buffalo just by hanging them by string to the curtain rod inside his living room window. .
Almost as well as my rig of the same antennas but stuck 12' above the top of my roof.
Much good info in these forums. Reception depends on where you live.

Yes, Angel and one or two of the slew of electronic shops on north side of Matheson west of Dixie have OTA products to buy.
And in person shop and carry home can save a lot over home delivery shipping charges for these products.
And usually someone in the shop can help you as to tech issues on the matter if you have questions.
