Belgium sucks in all sports except football.
In retrospect Sandro Tonali got lucky, Nicolo Fagioli even luckier - look at what gambling cost Toby Maguire. With Marco Verratti retiring from international duty, meant the Azzurri had to rebuild their midfield. Fagioli is beginning to repair his image, by sacrificing his body to free Calafiori for the qualifying goal.

A boring low scoring tournament so far.
England sucked, Germany sucked and they've proven in the past they can lose at home against tough teams,
France sucked too, this is not the formidable French team of past tournaments in spite of Mbappe.

Thinking Spain and Italy could go all the way, 2 tenacious teams that thrive in tight games.

Woo hoo I won $100 by correctly predicting Georgia would advance as the 3rd place team in the group.

Mamadashvili was fantastic
You got fortunate. Portugal was playing for nothing yet still dominated the game with 72% of the possession, 22 shot attempts to 7 and 11 corner kicks to 1. Georgia getting through was a fluke.

I'd say boring too. Thought there would be more scoring, especially since 2021 was so high scoring. Let's hope the knockout stage play is much elevated. My winners for next round

Germany over Denmark
Switzerland over Italy
England over Slovakia
Spain over Georgia
France over Belgium
Portugal over Slovenia
Netherlands over Romania
Austria over Turkey

You may not be wrong Kirk. Switzerland have 9 players that have or currently play in Serie A. This will probably be former Inter forward Xherdan Shaqiri's last International. Apart from him they'll probably start Yann Sommer (Inter), Ricardo Rodriguez (Torino), Remo Freuler (Atalanta) and Michael Aebischer (Bologna).

Painful, like the game I just watched...at least I didn't wreck anything. She's worse than Lindsey Hamilton.

The current Azzurri won't qualify for the North American WC.
How shameful was Italy, Switzerland is not even one of the big teams, must be a fixed game. Couldn't get in the world cup either. Spaletti is taking responsibility, I don't think its his fault.

Gotta love the DEI in action 😂
And I'm not being sexist, she's just horrible to listen to.
I find Ray Hudson godawful too, I always had to mute the TV when he was commentating.
Thankfully he did us all a favor and retired (y)

Have to eat my words and revise my predictions, I underestimated Switzerland.
Germany wasn't impressive either, surely they can find a better attacker than Havertz.

Switzerland almost won against Germany, they're good this year. Is Spaletti going to be out? But Mancini didn't do much better.

England struggled, they have great talent but play mediocre football as a team
and it took a brilliant (and desperate) bicycle kick in the dying seconds of the game to rescue their asses.

I felt bad for Slovakia, they played well enough to win, their mid field was impenetrable
but football is about scoring goals any way you can. Leave Harry Kane alone in the box for 2 seconds and pay the price.

The Subway guy is now in the trunk of a car somewhere in Woodbridge.

Respectfully, I know my football and knew Georgia would advance. They're by no means a top tier team but they work.

But yeah they got smoked by a quality team today.

Although I agree with your bets, I placed a second bet that Slovenia will beat Portgual. Let's see what happens.
