Is a Rolex or a Tudor watch an investment? Can you sell it and get anywhere close to what you paid for it. I see it the same as buying gold jewelry as an investment. I have never sold any of my watches or any gold jewelry, but I think it you will not get anywhere close to what was originally paid. The people that will make the money in used watches or gold jewelry are the middle men that will buy low and sell high. I have a Tudor and a Rolex, as well as homage watches of both. I also have a Rolex Homage watch of the Rolex Daytona which cost me ( on sale ) $78 CDN, a Rolex Daytona goes for about $15,000-$18,000. I have no need for a Rolex Daytona when I can wear a quality clone Homage with a Seiko movement in it. All my watches tell the time as needed, the more expensive watches do not do more. In this day and age where people have their expensive cars hijacked on the street, I need to wear an expensive watch like I need a crack on the head.
