Can't say I feel sorry for the couple.
They faced criminal charges as well as numerous lawsuits, so they'd been scamming people for a while.

Fraud is more devasting than theft.

Fucking fraudsters are incorrigable as they generally are sociopaths, if not psychopaths. They lack empathy, if not contempt for their victims. Criminal sentences and civil pumative damages should reflect this reality more appropriately. As punishment, deterrence and protection from them being at large.

One of my many beefs with the government is the lack of corrective actions, safety guards and punishment handed out when folks’ homes are sold or mortgaged without their knowing, and the victims are left alone and without legal assistance, while those involved and or responsible for the crimes are not made to compensate the victims.

While in comparison so much attention from our LE and media is invested for example when cars are stolen.

I think it is because when there are frauds involving mortgages and or home sales, many big companies are part of the process, example, lawyers, banks and insurance companies. Most of the times it is lack or due diligence done by those institution’s employees during the sales or mortgages.


The only solution proposed against it is another new type of insurance called Home Title insurance, another way to make the little folks pay for lack of effective business processes to safeguard the general public.
