Saying Israeli mentality is like that sounds racist....we should disregard any post you make....if we follow your logic....The thing is it is not about killing Hamas. That is the narrative they use. But in reality they consider ALL Palestinians as not just Hamas, but as enemies.
It is basically collective punishment. The Israeli mentality is that if you kill 1 of us, we will kill 20 or 30 of yours, destroy your houses, schools, hospitals, places of worship, stop aid, cut off food, water and electricity, and destroy you. Make no mistake, this sort of treatment of people is only possible, when you consider the Palestinians sub-human. I have many Israeli friends who are otherwise very good people. But when it comes to the Palestinians, I have heard all kinds of dehumanizing bullshit. I particularly remember one of them saying that he had a solution for the issue with Gaza and when I probed further, just said - "Nuke them". I brushed it off as hyperbole back then (this was back in 2006), but after I started educating myself about the conflict more and more, I have come to realize that this is the Israeli mentality.

Similarly the Israeli mentality regarding the Palestinians is a widespread cultural and political trait within Israeli society. It is entrenched in their society and governs how they view Palestinians. Which is what Gideon Levy who is Israeli says as well. Of course, there are Israelis, like Gideon Levy himself who aren't like that, and it would be wrong for you to scream "Racist!" at a random Israeli. But it is not wrong to say that Israel is racist towards Palestinians. There is demonstrated evidence that there is a cultural issue and political points of view within Israel regarding Palestinians, that are problematic, to put it lightly.
