Clubs I frequented:

Heaven disco at Yonge and Bloor
Sparkles disco at top of CN Tower
Fresh club that became RPM night club
The Diamond
The Bamboo on Queen st near John
Hannibal’s at Yonge and Sheperd
The Copa club
For me it would be easier to name the clubs I didn't go to. Toronto and the surrounding area had the best clubbing scene in the 90s, so many, so good and the girls were beautiful.

One of my fondest memories. My first summer in Toronto. Lived on Indian Road just close to High Park. Went to the pool on a hot Sunday afternoon. Saw THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CHINESE CANADIAN GIRL in the world sunning herself by the pool. Wearing a micro bikini. Golden skin. Couldn't think of a pick up line, so I jumped in the pool and got out and splashed some water on her. She opened her eyes and looked at me. Like WTF dude. I ambled over to her and introduced myself. She was a sweetheart. So friendly. We chatted for a bit and I asked her if she would like to go for a coffee. She said "sure". I kind of double checked with her. I said "you don't even know me" She said "it's ok. I can tell if a guy is a creep" . So we walked back up Parkside Drive to my place where my car was parked. We went for a coffee at the Denny's at Islington and Bloor or Kipling. Or thereabouts. Long time ago. She was a total sweet heart. Drove her home and got her phone number. When I called a few days later, she had changed her mind. (age difference_ Me 23 she 18. ) No harm. No foul. As they say in Australia.
One of my favorite nostalgic Toronto memories.
Ah, spent my young teenage years living in Parkdale, near the best dance club at that time, The Masyrek hall, Queen St. west of Dufferin. Went to my first pub, the Parkdale Hotel, was underage with my uncles. A 10 ounce draft beer cost 15 cents, later increased to 25 cents. Waiters would drop a tray of beer on the table, about 8 glasses and the tip would be, Have one for yourself, he would turn his back to the bar and guzzle it down in seconds.

That goes back to the 70s. My favorites, Le Coq Door, Friars Tavern, Colonial Tavern on Yonge, Concord Tavern, Bellair Tavern on Bloor, and so many others that I can't remember. Dance clubs such as Masyrk Hall, Club Trocadero, best R & B dance club, Avenue Road Club near Yorkville where I met my wife and many other girls. Before her or course. This was such a great and safe city.

Yes, downstairs and one of the few anti-disco clubs at the time!!
Just north of there on Victoria St. was the Mercury dance club, would go there after the Leaf games, (Standing room behind the greys was $2.00, just couldn't go for a pee because someone else would take my place). Went to the club on a cold Feb. night, while walking towards the coat check room guy leaving with 2 girls on his arms, sucker punched me and I ended up with a broken jaw. He must have really impressed his honeys. Then I saw 2 other guys sitting on a bench, one had a black eye and the other bleeding from his face. They met the same dude. Needless to say I never went back there again.

CFNY, from late 70s to about ‘88, best music ever.

Best morning radio show ever- Pete and Geets, they were hilarious.
