Leticia James is a real piece of work. She knows any surety company that is an admitted carrier in New York would open themselves up to her venomous scrutiny and probably an investigation for the crime of daring to take on Trump. She also knows (unless she’s not capable of understanding New York law) that there is no legal requirement for surety company to be an “admitted carrier” in NY to provide the bond. Then she doesn’t like the wording of the agreement between Trump and the company and she doesn’t think 175 million dollars he handed over in cash to a company that also has 539 million in assets and 138 million in equity (with the added ability to draw on an additional 2 billion in assets and 1 billion in equity) is sufficient collateral for her completely bogus judgement that has NO VICTIM. So she knows he can’t get another company that is an admitted carrier in NY because they fear retribution and she knows that 3 billion is more then 464 million yet she just can’t help herself but to show just how malicious and partisan she is. The communists of yesteryear have got nothing on today’s Soros funded left. But don’t take my word for it, I am linking the article that has the original objection and both responses in it.
JUST IN: Letitia James has lost after Judge Arthur Engoron has ruled that Trump’s bond can stand, after AG James tried to have it rejected because she claimed the company didn’t have the assets. Today the company showed that they have over $2 billion at their parent company. The Judge did rule that Trump must comply with new conditions by the AG’s office, which the bond holder will have to agree to as well. Those conditions should be agreed upon by Friday.
I don't like him either but he got handed a fortune...does that make him a loser?
