What's the point in having LCBO cashiers, when thieves just steal all the booze anyway??
That guy should be rewarded for at least giving those robbers a good smack in the face
If they were the types of suspects with large knives and guns then I get the 'let them go' shouts but they seemed to be some weedy looking Indian guys and a woman who the goods can easily be retrieved from..that said, you don't know whether the guy has a machete or gununder his coat. The store employees are probably instructed to tell customers not to get involved due to liability and insurance reasons. Anyway, good for the guy who punched the robber a few times
Robbery Scene at LCBO: Some bystanders shouted, ‘Let them go,’ questions arise - Who is truly helpless in this situation? Is it the government, law enforcement, or the Canadian people? Nowadays, it seems anyone can commit offenses in Canada without any fear. What’s happening in Canada, and what does the future hold?
77M shoplifting theft is a very small percentage considering they netted 2.54 Billion in 2022, that's 3% as losses due to thievery.$77 M lost - wow. There are 677 LCBO stores in Ontario - why not hire law enforcement to monitor these stores and get them to rotate their shifts as part of their daily activities. I rather see my money go towards that.
IMHO, it would still probably be cheaper for the LCBO to hire security guards for the problematic specific LCBO's, that are continually getting robbed. Then use part of that $77M towards healthcare or food banks etc77M shoplifting theft is a very small percentage considering they netted 2.54 Billion in 2022, that's 3% as losses due to thievery.
Be prepared for a lot more in all of the US and Canada.Robbery Scene at LCBO: Some bystanders shouted, ‘Let them go,’ questions arise - Who is truly helpless in this situation? Yes, yes, stealing from the liquor store to survive...people as struggling so much just to survive we will see such madness.
Ever worked or had to deal with the very poor? A bit of alcohol is some kind of survival for them. Sad but the truth.Yes, yes, stealing from the liquor store to survive...
