Asks for ID for safety then asks if you know the law around sex workers and lets you know she is working for the police who are on their way. All after she has taken your money.
That's really sucks manAsks for ID for safety then asks if you know the law around sex workers and lets you know she is working for the police who are on their way. All after she has taken your money.
Ya, I’m sure the front desk knows this kind of thing is happening, and don’t want to be involved. Most of them probably get paid minimum wage, and aren’t interested in moonlighting as security. Not aware of any police sting, but I noticed in Toronto and Ottawa on the news every 10 years when they want to track down traffickers they set up a sting. and from what I have seen across north america is guys are in cuffs as they enter the room.
I did once report to the hotel from a private number and gave them room number etc, but they dont care, I felt like the receptionist was treating me like the criminal and not the person impersonating the police, and stealing money.
A few weeks ago I was at a local club/spa. Just as I was leaving there was a firm knock on the door. About 6 cops. Asked me if I had been drinking (no) and looked around the room. Asked everyone if they were ok, then asked me to produce ID. I asked if they thought that I was under age. (I am definitely not). They said no. I asked why they wanted ID and if I was being detained. They said that I could go. I later heard that they were doing the same at other locations in the city.Ya, I’m sure the front desk knows this kind of thing is happening, and don’t want to be involved. I just wish there was a way to route out these scammers. This Alice one is the worst, if it a the same one I’m thinking of.

Can you clarify, was it an AMP, another popular spa (ie CMJ, Aplha etc)A few weeks ago I was at a local club/spa. Just as I was leaving there was a firm knock on the door. About 6 cops. Wow,,,,,this is the first I am hearing of this happening!! Not that the Spas want to advertise this kind of thing......she which day was this?Well, any idea when 10 year is coming up? when was the last time?
Ya, not a good situation. And considering the premium they charge and you don’t know what is on offer, it doesn’t seem worth the while.A few weeks ago I was at a local club/spa. Sounds very similar to what happened to me this week. See my tale of woe here:This is probably the same girl that scammed me a couple of years ago. What a piece of shit she is! Really bottom of the cesspool type of person. I wish there was a way to report them, but I’m not sure they care, and like me at the time, when it happens, you’re too panicked to call the authorities or hotel to repot them.
@surfer83 are you aware of any kind of police sting ever happening in Ottawa?
