Nothing wrong with that, I just don't support it at late stages.
France has a maximum of 14 weeks. The only exceptions are if their lives or health are severely compromised. But they then have to produce the proof from two Consultants.
This is a truly a very rational law written into the Constitution. Netherlands and The UK have similar laws except that they extend the pregnancy to 24 months.

There are different laws in different places that do take different situations into account. There is no law that simply states: No abortion period.
There are also no laws that exist today that make it a crime to abort if the mother's life is threatened by the pregnancy. Even Texas allows that.
False as these are the States that have a Total Ban on Abortion:

Alabama: A total ban with NO Exceptions for rape, incest or if the woman's life is in a serious compromise. The Penalty is a Life Sentence as it is considered to be a MURDER!!
Arkansas : A similar ban, with not only Life Imprisonment but also a fine of up to $100,000!!
Similarly Total bans for states like Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississipi, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas

Bans for Indiana with exceptions to rape, incest and Compromise of Life, North Dakota with exceptions for rape and incest only in the first 6 weeks of pregnancy, West Virginia with the exception of rape or incest.

Lots of other Republicans States that triggered the bans, then had to lift them when they were successfully challenged in their own State Supreme Courts!!

Have you read the recent numbers for long covid or other long term complications?
Anti vaxxers are costing the rest of us.

I think you should be allowed to be an anti vaxxer, but then you should also sign a waiver saying you won't use public health care and you'll pay restitution for those around you who get sick. That would be fair.
Did you read my comment before you replied to it. Should we treat smokers alcoholics and drug users the same as anti vaxxers. How about people who have unprotected sex and get infected with an STI. All these I mentioned cost the health care system more than long covid does.

Now listen, when one is vaccinated and passes on the virus to another that has been vaccinated, the studies have proven that the symptoms for both parties are normally mild. But non-vaccinated individual passes the virus to an unvaccinated one who has a compromised immune system, or to a non-vaccinated Senior then the lives of those have been severely affected and in most cases resulting in the death of those individuals. That is why the whole of Canada had lower deaths and infection rates than a State like Florida.

But your comparison of the vaccine rights vs the abortion rights is downright ridiculous. Women who had their abortions in States that implemented those retarded ancient laws are severely charged and either jailed or severely penalized. Did anyone jail you or charge you for not taking a Covid-19 vaccine? No one gives a damn if you did or did not take your vaccine based on those usual anti-vaxxer conspiracy theories. Your workplace can decided whether they are concerned about spreading the virus or not. But if you travel across the border and then bring in different strains of those viruses, of course the Government has every right to implement laws that bans those who have been unvaccinated.
BLAH! BLAH! BLAH!. I only know vaccinated people who got sick with covid. Non vaccinated have been fine. I don't care what the scare stream media tells us.

You did all the blah, blah, blah when comparing abortion rights to vaccine rights. We all know that abortions are criminalized in so many Republican run states.
But who has been jailed or charged for refusing to be administered with the vaccines? I do not buy the Conspiracy Theories with the Covid-19 vaccines!!

Our very own Prime Minister said on live television that the unvaccinated need to removed from society That is a threat. And it's not conspiracy theories. The evidence is coming out more and more.

Did Trudeau create a Law criminalizing those who did not take the Covid-19 vaccines?
Only Conspiracy Theorist so called "evidence" tries desperately to refute the actual Science of the Vaccines!!

Maybe you have a point. We should just force anti vaxxers outside like smokers and shun them like addicts.
Then we can set up programs for rehabilitation.

Not quite...none of those ban abortion if the mother's life is in danger.
If you think I'm wrong...find me proof that specifically says that.

Refute science the vaccines. The vaccine makers lied and admitted to it. They've admitted that they never tested against transmission and that the efficiency doesn't last as long as claimed.

14 weeks is the maximum in France because passed 14 week it becomes a medical procedure that is too complicated for the medical profession and becomes more risky for women. In Quebec abortion is a free medical procedure but maximum is set to 9 weeks.
Evidence for that 9 week rule in Quebec?
I've never heard that before.

My views have nothing to do with religion yet you think so just because you don't agree with them. You must be a woke liberal. The "SCIENCE" states that after 6 weeks the fetus has a heart beat. That's been one of the main arguments in the United States because they want to extend that six week period even though the science says it's a living human. Check out all of my posts and try to find any that are religious based.
Ah, the shrill nonsensical screaming of someone who doesn't want other people to have the very freedoms he pretends to espouse. People in Canada have the choice to follow their own beliefs. People like you are trying to deny people that choice. Thankfully despite Canada sliding slightly to the right, there is no hint our law on this is going to change.

p.s. A cow has a heartbeat. Does that make killing them murder? And no, there is absolutely no scientific consensus about when someone becomes deserving of being considered an individual with views ranging from fertilization to independence from the womb (a couple fringe views actually say when they are capable of independent life without immediate reliance on a parent figure).

It's been legal for some time in most of the Western world. Now they want to the right to have one when it's an actual baby and not just a fetus.
Did you not read what the story is about? What they did was change their constitution so future governments can't take away that right.

Or some conspiracy about the government wanting to allow killing children sounds fun.

I now have a feeling that the right to abort an unborn at any
stage of pregnancy, if granted by law, might still not fully
satisfy pro-abortionists unless it is enshrined in the constitution.
There is no such thing as "pro-abortionists".

And Canada allows late term abortions when medically required.

Constitutions, like laws, can change over time. Just look at how much the first amendment has been bastardized since it was written.

So today they wrote something into the constitution...tomorrow someone will make changes to it.

The other thing to remember is that the "exceptions" are also there to not actually allow exceptions.
This has been shown repeatedly where the laws have exceptions written in, but you can't actually use them in any practical way.
That's why the comparisons to France were always such deliberate bullshit. The fact that free and unrestricted access to abortion in France was confined to 14 weeks didn't mean it had "more restrictive policy than the US under Roe" even though that was a big talking point people tried to use.

I don't want others to have rights an freedoms. From day one I was against the lock downs and forced vaccinations. I followed my own beliefs and was denied entry into business because of it. In fact some businesses were fined for serving unvaccinated people. The government doesn't have the right to tell a business who they can and can't serve. People lost their jobs because they refused the vaccines because they already had natural immunity and side effects from them as well. Should a women lose her job or be denied medical care if she has an abortion. Just because you believe in abortion doesn't mean everyone else has to. Some are free to believe it's a human life. We live in a society where human life is more important that animal life. Cows can't talk or work a regular job or attend school like us humans. Do you see any cows posting their opinions on this board.
