This reminds me of a story that happened in Florida where a black womans car broke down in a ritzy white neighbourhood .She knocked on the door and the guy blew her head off its like he got away with it because of stand your ground law. This is how messed up it is in Florida.

He fired "warning shots", why couldn't he just fire into the sky?

And of course he never pulled the trigger that killed that lady, same for Alec Baldwin, he never pulled the trigger either, yet that lady's dead.

At his age, 25 to life seems about right. Appears nobody really bought his story...

There are LOTS of gun nuts who are just waiting for their chance to shoot someone.

Since my first .177 cal air rifle at 12 years old I used to be a gun owner, enthusiast, target and trap/skeet shooter, plinker, varmint shooter, re-loader and otherwise enjoyed firearms. I had several interesting (restricted) handguns too. Except for groundhogs and coyotes on my relative's farm, I wasn't a hunter. (LMK, when Black Angus season opens and I'll get my license and tags! ;) )

But one day I was in Central Florida at one of the gun ranges shooting several small framed semi-auto pistols to see which one I liked best. That day, I realized how sick gun culture could be.

The otherwise normal looking guys beside us were all gushing about their concealed pistols, main gun and backup, home defence weapons shotgun vs pistol vs 5.56 vs 7.62 AR-style etc. Then one said "Boy, I just can't wait until some dumb (n-word) comes to my door at night so's I can blow his fucking head off!"

Once that barrier was broken, the rest of these middle-aged white soccer dads couldn't but not talk all over each other to share similar gun battle fantasies of getting held up at a gas bar, in a parking lot etc.... all just for an excuse the kill someone.

If you read between the lines of gun magazines, review websites and gun forums it is there in spades.

It made me sick and I never looked at guns, Florida, USA and even some gun owners the same. Funny that I also had started the concealed carry permit process by getting aFlorida Driver's Licence at the time. Was I lost my

A year or two later I was building a new house and was considering safe gun storage options and realized they were a big responsibility and the lustre of gun ownership was gone. Sold all of my shooting irons except for the pellet gun my dad bought me.

I'm not saying all, most or even more than a few gun owners are latent killers. And tbh, if I lived in the USA I'd probably have a concealed carrry permit and a slim .380 ... but so glad that we don't need that in Canada! 🇨🇦💕

Today, the narrative is about "self defence" or government "tyranny". We live in the safest time period in all of history - even if that is hard to believe, that is fact. What do we need "self defence" weapons for? 99.99% of people don't! And then that doozy about defending against a tyrannical government, which incidentally happens to have drones, missiles and nukes. 😂
Guns were never about self-defense against government 'tyranny'. That is conservative maga bull shit. It was always about defending against rebellion attacking the government. You know like Jan 6 if the insurrectionist had decided to open fire. The population would have had a right to pull out their gun and shoot them down.

Reminds me of the Japanese boy who was shot in the south when knocking on a door during Halloween.
I believe Clinton apologized in person to the parents when in Japan.
