Progressive champion AOC books luxury front row seat for American Airlines flight from Austin to NYC
Feb 19, 2022

AOC ditched the socialist act last week to bask in the luxury of a first class seat on an American Airlines flight from Austin to JFK.

The Congresswoman was photographed aboard flight AA1405 on a Boeing 737-800 from Austin to John F. Kennedy International Airport last Sunday, the New York Post reported.

A fellow passenger took a snap of Ocasio- Cortez enjoying her comfortable front row wearing a large mask and a baseball cap.

'I don't sense anyone in first class knew she was there or someone of her celebrity was there,' the tipster told the Post. 'She was also pretty incognito.'

Ocasio- Cortez would have coughed up between $400 to $600 for a one-way first-class American Airlines flight from Austin to New York City on Sunday, while economy flights would have cost her between $300 to $400, the Post reported.

Her first-class experience included 21-inch wide seats and an additional 7 inches of leg room as well as full dinner service.

'They would have received the choice of sandwich with salad, side, dessert. Alcohol offerings are available complimentary,' an airline rep told the Post.

According to a person who knew AOC earlier in her political career, the self-proclaimed socialist has grown a taste for the finer things in life.

'This is definitely different,' the person told the Post. 'There has definitely been a shift in her desires to enjoy the finer things in life.'

'She lives above a Whole Foods and drives a Tesla, so she probably feels more at home up front,' one of AOC's fellow Democratic Congress members told the Post about her flying accommodations.

Ocasio-Cortez, who represents the 14th Congressional District, which spans part of the Bronx and Queens, was travelling back to New York after visiting Texas to endorse congressional hopeful and former Austin City Council Member Greg Casar who is looking to represent Texas's 35th Congressional District.

Republicans snarkily reacted to AOC's visit to Austin, saying she should come more often.

'We invite AOC to come to Texas as often as she can. Every time she comes to the Lone Star State, it's a gift because she reminds Texans of how much they despise socialism,' a Republican National Committee spokesman said.

AOC - who previously posed on the cover of Vanity Fair, drives a $35,000 Tesla and claims to be '100% grass roots from the Bronx' despite growing up in a wealthy NYC suburb. She caused a stir last year when she attended the Met gala, sporting a white custom dress with the message 'Tax the rich' emblazoned on the back.

But she has been labeled a hypocrite for living a luxury lifestyle while her constituents in the Bronx and Queens live in poverty.

AOC has been very vocal in the past about her stance on taxing millionaires.

In 2019 she advocated to raising taxes of to 70 percent for the wealthy in order to fund measures against climate change.

She has 12.8 million Twitter followers, and has been blamed for having an outsize influence on Democrat politics.

Recent polling shows many centrist Democrats are appalled by AOC and her so-called 'Squad' of progressive representatives' hard-left stance on issues such as defunding the police and immigration.

The same survey warned that Joe Biden's party faces a bloodbath in the upcoming November midterms if it cannot present a more moderate stance on economic and social issues, and ignore the shrill fury of online motormouths pollsters have warned do not reflect the interests of ordinary American voters.

Expense on flying 1st class is covered by her benefit payments
I suppose. AOC should be excused if she still carries student debt
from her college years as she can only pay if off with her own
money. Understandably she wants to wait until it is forgiven
by Biden or her when she becomes the POTUS.

You mean idolizing people who are innovators and from modest means and invested in themselves and eventually employed thousands of people so those people could earn a living and pay taxes so AOC can attend ritzy galas while preaching about helping the poor?
Those people?

Your rage is misplaced.
Innovators like PeePee, DoFo and trump?
A career politician, a nepotist corrupt elitist and a born rich elitist?

AOC was born poor and worked her way to success.
She's everything you stand for.

So it's not about quantity of times she's been a hypocrite but more about how long?
So she should live in poverty for the rest of her life even though she is making a good salary?

Can we just leave it to you envy the young lady?

Modest means :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Look it up before saying some as stupid.

They are both great at making businesses make money but are both pricks that could make a real difference. Yet one prefers to vent off on his social network while the other goes to space in a penis capsule thanking his employee for that while these people needed to piss in a bottle to make production meet...

Let's unpack your delusion to try and bring you back to reality shall we?

Working out of his garage with a handful of employees, Bezos began developing the software for the site, which he called Amazon.com. It sold its first book in 1995.

In 1995, with $15,000 and his younger brother Kimbal at his side, Musk started Zip2, a web software company that would help newspapers develop online city guides.

So that blows your theory out of the water for them just magically being rich.
If you think they're pricks for making money well that's your jealousy shining through I guess, can't help you with that one.

Care to guess how many $billions they have each donated to charity? I'll bet it's more than you have donated. But do correct me if I'm wrong.

What's left here is your feeling that no matter how much they have already contributed in many ways, in your opinion it's not enough? So it comes down to entitlement. More specifically, your entitlement to someone else's money just because they have more than you.

Did I get that all right?

In 1995 Bezos received 245k from his parent to start Amazon. Is that what you mean by modest means?

Musk parent's owned a gold mine in south-africa... Very modestly that is haha

You mean his parent's life savings because they believed in him? And he turned it into a multi-$billion company. Some parents spend that on post secondary education for their kids. Maybe you're jealous that his parents believed in him?
Prior to starting Amazon in his garage he worked his way up to VP at a large financial institution so it's not like he was on welfare.

As for Musk:

"He didn't own an emerald mine & I worked my way through college, ending up ~$100k in student debt," Elon Musk tweeted in 2019 in response to a user on X, formerly known as Twitter, claiming Errol owned a mine."
https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-father-errol-never-owned-emerald-mine-telling-truth-2023-9

Try to respond without sounding jealous of other people's success and feeling entitled to their wealth.

I find her charming and intelligent. You should try and read up on her so you are a little more knowledgeable on facts instead of biased jealousy.
