Consensus is that Bitcoin will reach 150-200k by late 2025. There will be a media frenzy during:
1)halving (April 2024)
2)Bitcoin reaching ATH
3)Bitcoin crossing 100k

Lots of new money will be pouring in. Also, interest rates will be dropping. This is a very similar case to the last bull cycle, where interest rates were cut during Bitcoin's bull cycle.

Alt coins could make you a millionaire. They tend to be much more volatile than Bitcoin, just like NVDA or Tesla is much for volatile than the QQQ. However, that is pretty much playing roulette.

Bitcoin could be up or down $ 50.00 and some of the smaller alt coins that are heavily traded could be off 5 to 10% for the sole reason that they are highly leveraged by many wannebe day traders. I know some of these guys and they will use sometimes 50 to 100% leverage and with any down tick they get cleaned out or liquidated fast. A couple of examples are Cardano ( ADA ) and Polygon ( MATIC), I have a bit of these 2 coins but not on margin. Margin traders need constant profits because of the high costs of exchange margin.

Buying crypto on margin is the same as gambling, avoid.

I don't even consider Bitcoin an in investment, it is mostly specualtion. For the most part, it has no real value. The only value it has is that it appreciates over time because demand is artificially cut every four years, making it more "precious". But I guarantee you with the media hype, people will be FOMOing like crazy, and there's money to be made. However, greed will be your downfall if you wait too late to cash out. Be happy with whatever you make, and cash out gradually until November 2025.

Please leave the BTC posting to sprite, stinkynuts & myself.

Every time I see your paragraphs it's just the worst advice of dribble. Please stop, gain experience in this market, then return.

enjoy the ride guys

this cycle could be accelerated/shortened as the 618 level was broken before the halving, which has never been done before

myself I'll start dollar cost averaging OUT when BTC hits new all time highs (based on previous cycles, it should happen in q4 of this yr)

as stated in the book psychology of money (link stinkynuts shared in another thread), know when enough is enough ..ie don't get too greedy

You have to claim any profits you make with BitCoin, so how does that work, what's the percentage or whatever formula they give?

You can avoid all taxes. Buy btcc in your TFSA and RRSP. Any gains will be tax free (tfsa) or tax deferred (rrsp).

I'd say there's a very good chance of doubling your money, tax free in the next year and a half, maybe even tripling or quadrupling it.

I think the last cycle was blunted, BTC should have had a higher peak, but it looks like there was a mass selloff in anticipation, before the peak. This brought down the price, and then there was another peak, so a double top. It's simply people trying to get ahead of the curve, so I do think that the cycle will be shifted in anticpation.

The projected peak is November, but it would be foolish to hold until then without selling. Bitcoin crashes fast and hard, and people will be selling well before this date, since no one wants to be left holding the bag.
