I don't like it, especially how shabbily they are treating Carlos Saiz. Unless Ferrari has a monster car, I cant see his motivation.

The only driver I would replace Saiz with is Lando Norris.

Yep, heard it on my way in this morning.
But not "official yet" according to that article and everythign I'm seeing on the social channels. Wonder if Mercedes will pick up Carlos. I thought he was driving better than Charles last year.

Hmm. I'll believe it when it's officially announced by either team.
Couple of my thought if it does happen.
Will Ferrari allow Hamilton to keep dressing like a clown? To me Ferrari seems to be alot about image. When I've seen pictures of Carlos and Charles getting on the company plane they appear to be wearing a "team suit". WOuld Hamilton play along with this?
If Merc drastically improves this year will Hamilton try to get out of Ferrari contract and stay with Merc? Will Merc put all their resources into George's car? I have a feeling Toto values loyalty and this might be a slap in the face.

Maybe Carlos will go back to McLaren. He’ll be fine, he’s been driving well, someone will snap him up 😭🙏
I also adore Charles & Lewis together personality wise so I can’t be too mad about the news.

McLaren has locked up both drivers for 2025.

It's official , Lewis is going to Ferrari .

Where old drivers go to die 😛
Got to say I didn’t see that coming, Hamilton had been pretty adamant that he would retire at Merc and then stay on in some type of ambassador or PR role but money talks.
Going to be interesting to see who partners with Russell in what’s surely going to be one of the most coveted seats in F1 for 2025. Straight swap for Sainz? Sign Albon or Alonso? Really doubt either Ocon or Gasley would be considered or a rookie from F2.

Exactly. It is a very poor move by Lewis. He has a legacy with Mercedes and the genteel thing would have been to stick with them until 2025 and then hang up his boots as a brand ambassador. Instead he is moving to Ferrari who will treat him the same way they treated Vettel. Bet it is just money at the end of the day. Cash is king!

And for Mercedes it might be a blessing in disguise. Sign Carlos as Russell and Carlos are definitely future stars. But who knows Red Bull could also pick up Carlos and replace Sergio for 2025, with Sergio's contract ending in 2024.
Ahhh forgot about Sergio.

So who would be considered #1 at Ferrari next year? Can't see Lewis playing second fiddle to Charles.

Very good question for #1, with the absolute shit show clown world strategy calls from the Ferrari pit wall the last few years I think most would agree Merc has a better chance of beating RB on a consistent enough basis to win a championship sometime in the next couple of years.

As for #2 i think at this point in his career Hamilton can pretty much put any clause he wants in to a contract and Wolff would pretty much just have to agree.

The shit show at Ferrari is getting cleaned up by Frederic Vasseur and Diego Loverno. Hamilton probably believes that they are capable of producing a fast car. Both were figuring out what they had in their rookie campaign. I would have kept Carlos Sainz.

It was known that Hamilton wanted to drive for Ferrari for awhile. He showed up for LBJ's dinner party in a Ferrari Purosangue.

Ferrari's Hypercar won the 24 hrs of Le Mans. Now if they can transplant that durability to their F1, they'd be in good shape.
