Maybe the Chicom govt. is heavily into facial recognition software...I see the British guy with the shades on TikTok all the time playing killer boogie-woogie piano in that shopping centre. Usually the audience there loves it.
Hard to tell the back-story here.
Seems the Chinese people were objecting to him being filmed in performance, which also perhaps included them in the audience in view of the camera lens.
Maybe not allowed to video in public in Communist China?
So these people can have their face all over the internet. With pics with government officials and one is an influencer but he can’t record their image in a public space. While they were recording as well. There was a guy in their party with a gimbal and a cell phone recording. You see him with the First Lady starts talking to the piano player. He was recording the interaction himself.I been watching this C-UK-Drama for the past 2 days I think.
Here is the recap who the CCP clowns are. This going to Panda Kung fu really bad for them.
His channel has been popular for years. He doesn't need the confrontation for clicks. This piano man has now flipped his version, most likely because this narrative brings him more clicks and likes on his You Tube channel, even going so far as to start carrying around Winnie the Pooh.
Just released 28 minutes ago.
Agreed, their mistake was staying around and watching him. IF they wanted to use the Piano, wait your turn.If they don't want to be filmed move.
I probably would have knocked that guy out. Kudos on Brendan's patience.
I think they had a white men with them. Basically they didn't do a dry run before doing the work. Like any work you have to plan ahead for the inevitable, specially when you are not inside a STUDIO which you can control. I am sure there are tourist Video Capturing their own memories in the station. Are the CCP going to stop them also for filming? Can't believe no one has seen the interview with the piano guy explaining the misunderstanding, just loads of videos and articles showing the one view to get clicks.
The Chinese group apparently had been hired to do a promo video for a TV station/company in China that was being aired in February.
They had signs asking people to not record them while they were filming as it was some kind of copyrighted thing but due to the language barrier they were unable to explain this at the time.
They had a permit to film copyrighted material in that area.
They cut the scene of the officer explaining this.
All they wanted was for the piano man not to post the video on the internet.
Much like if a hollywood blockbuster movie were being made and you recorded and posted it.
It did escalate further than it needed to.
This guy explains it but babbles through the whole video to get a one mintute point out.
One of the commenters made this point.

They should have had a better English-speaking person explain their filming situation. They claim a presentation, that will aired in February, was being made and they didn't want any "spoilers" out. If that would have been communicated properly, Brandon would have, or did, explain to them it was a live stream, but he would be happy to edit out parts, after the fact, as a courtesy between YouTubers. Which Brandon does not have to do... but if they explained better, there wouldn't have been a misunderstanding. Between broken English, and the escort/handler going mental, escalation was inevitable. I hope the handler gets reprimanded, he's the one that fudged up the situation entirely. Everything was salvageable up until that point of him lying about the touch... Brandon touched the flag, not the person."
