How many times he who can’t add 1 and 1, can’t name economist, doesn’t know basic finance and economics are you going to say that Franky. No one else is…Clearly you grasp stuff

This isn’t Disney world…
You think this is not an opinion shared by others?
Its a bit like the convoy supporters who think they hold views backed by the majority.

What does that even mean? If people dont have enough cash, prices are high and wages are stagnant, then it means people are forced to live within their means anyway. But what does not wanting things mean? Should we not want good healthcare? Or a quality of life? How about we want all those things and the government does things to make it better - by moving their asses and doing something?
What does “that” mean.
Do some math, or just look around.

Do you think helping the homeless and the poor is a bad thing? Or are you in the camp that thinks the way to help the poor is to cut taxes for the rich.

I agree that there has been a lot of wasteful spending to help the poor etc but just because there has been some waste does not mean that it has all been wasted.s
Do you think, money grows on trees and governments can just throw $$ at everything to make voters happy?

And while yes, I do doing this or that are worthwhile. I grasp basic life advice of live within your means.

we could fill the next 50 pages with stats and links pertaining to the hollowing out of “the middle class”

Typical Kautilya, that’s all you do. You say X and when you don’t like the response. Run and hide..

Where do you want to start? Why don’t you start with basic math and 13% ( HST) on different levels of disposable income?

why don’t you Google how much $$ is socked away in RSPs, TFSAs…and the fact people without disposable can’t avoid taxes like you and the rest of the 20% club. Nor can they save two nickels..

for that matter, why do you get avoid paying for all your wants but they don’t. Why do you feel you need tax relief?

HST or GST was a conservative tax, a regressive tax that hits the poor and middle class harder and discourages consumption.
Are you again calling out conservative policies and then turning around to tell us only conservatives can fix things?

You have yet to articulate how you think the issues of inequality should be fixed.
You complain endlessly but refuse to offer solutions.

The middle class is being hollowed out than the working poor are getting poorer while the rich are getting richer. Although the marginal rates suggest that the tax system is progressive, very few of the very rich are paying this marginal rates and most are paying at a lower marginal rate than most middle class taxpayers.

Of course people and countries have to live within their means but it is a question of priories. There always seems to be money available for tax cuts.

I have said before that the death of capitalism will not come from the left but rather from the right who refuse to share the wealth and want more and more.

I find it interesting that the same people who rage against welfare payments to single mothers, are happy with sending $B9.5 to Ukraine and are demanding more money spent on the military.

And yet…
The wealth gap, and greed as defined by Stats Canada is the 20% club and beyond….the 20 want to be the 10, then 10 want to be the 5 and the 5 want to be the 1%.problem is, only 1% of the population can be the 1%..And they are still just 1% of eligible voters.

And yet, the L and R have shared power for 60 years……..

And yet, loosely speaking Canadians are L of center.

And yet, where are Liberal vote bases. In the “rust belts”. where the L has watched jobs go poof. How many wealthy, rich, world class cities are in Canada?

I do not think we got here because of the left or right. Both share responsibility. The difference is that in the last several years the left have at least attempted to ameliorate the situation while to the right the answer to all problems is reduce taxes. JT is an a clueless idiot and he is certainly not the answer.

I pity you if you think Larue knows anything about whatever topic he is talking about. He should rename himself, John Snow because "You don't know nothing John Snow!!". 😂
get back to us when you figure out the concept of sovereignty

oh yea ! the left "ameliorated" us right into inflation, unsustainable debt , east -west division and a housing crisis & more.

less " amelioration " by the left would have been much better

no his is not the answer
rather he is the problem.

what you seem to be ignoring is the left chose him as the answer,
ideologue trumped sound judgement

Here's an unpopular idea, build 1000 bed mental and drug rehab regional hospital centres. Revamp the Mental Heath Act to address chronic drug addiction. Reinstitute vagrancy laws. Remove Narcan (Naloxone) from the street level and back to hospitals and trained first responders. Build integrated subsidized housing. Landlord Tenant Board needs to be hitting targets for 3 months from filing to resolution along with potential prison time for abusive landlords or tenants (who owe over 10000 in rent). Just spitballing some ideas to explore for folks tired of living in zombie cities.
i agree more mental health beds need to be increased. These people have absolutely given up they will take a bottle a pill a hit just to survive one more day outside. Also what about rehabs instead of jail?

I’ve said many times it’s ( if we can use basic ideology preferences) both. I suspect the middle class would rather just be left the fuck alone, happy to live life. Rather than taking it on the chin by both…As far as greed and the upper crust goes proof is in the pudding and stats per se..just look at the center of the universe and its neighbors…

the last several years? I’ll counter with the shit hole the left in the electorate created, 2003-2017 and seem to be repeating Federally. What did the L and you ( by that I mean voters in the gta) do other than throw central Ontario under the bus and turn blind eyes……what have you done since other than whine about the consequences…aka people flooding the gta….is it not the L that champions socioeconomics? But is really just lip service?

I could also point at PPs and Trumps popularity and their vote bases…and while the right is sometimes about cutting taxes, it’s also business friendly and favours fiscal management.

Yes, we know you are angry.
But you really can't offer a way to fix anything, can you?

Some cities have drug offender courts where they try to magge the chronic addicts who engage in nonviolent petty crimes, sadly it is just another revolving door same as Narcan has become part of the drug use cycle where some users OD 2x/3x in a season.

They are affectionately called cockroaches in certain circles thanks to narcan.

Metnal health facilities. Great there another 50 billion we don’t have thanks to…. The list just got longer… People talk about socioeconomics and pay lip service to it but just want to do more of the same ( me me me me me, we are the center of the universe) and complain about various consequences.

Be that the price of R/E that exploded in 2012 and the left being blind to it, still not doing anything, be it grid lock, shelters, the homeless, or near all immigrants and youth, and flooding it….

Learn to read a budget. He’s spending far more than Wynne and will continue to spend more and more. Learn the definition of cuts….He just can’t keep up with consequences thanks to you, your wants, turning blind eyes me me me me me etc and

deaf ears
( you’ve been warned hundreds of times, over the last 20 years, even by very left economist)
