After 20 years of conservative, right-wing hiding their heads in the sand, raiding and completely emptying reserve funds, employing duct-tape fiscal mismanagement of the budget, here we are now. A whopping $1.8billion dollar operating deficit. Thank you, Mel, Rob and John.
The following is a directly from the noted conservative fiscal mismanagement head in the sand ostrich, K. Douglas:
Now when you add in Mel's 0% and 1 or 2% over his 6 years and Long Done Dong's 2020-2023 duct tape budgetary property tax increases and here we are today, A $1.8billion budgetary hole!
Now, imagine if you will that if these 3 twats, "Boiling Pot" Mel, Rob "Crackie" Fraud and Long Done Dong Tory had actually just added another 1% on top of their burn down the city budgetary property tax increases over the near 20 years that they screwed the city over, then poof, voila, this $1.8billion budgetary gap that they gifted us with, would have never ever existed.
Those little, tiny, puny, micro extra 1% extra property tax increases per year compounded over 20 years would now equal enough property revenue to balance the budget today.
20 yearly installments of puny property tax increases would have been much more palatable than a 44% property tax increase that is needed to balance the budget now.
They screwed over Toronto big time.
These 3 twits were never serious, responsible nor competent stewards of the city's finances, resources and capabilities never mind being totally inept at having any vision for Toronto, except to bleeding it dry.
And neither is TERB's sole billionaire capitalist wannabe titan of industry, commerce and finance a serious, responsible nor competent commentator of anything to do with the city, nor fiscal, budgetary, financial, commercial, economic matters.
Gleefully awaiting:
1) Increases in parking rates.
2) Downtown intersection cameras catching "intersection" clogging scofflaws and fining the shit out of them.
3) Cameras capturing those 6000/day King St. priority corridor scofflaws and fining the shit out of them.
4) Increasing fines for those who are illegally parked.
5) Increasing enforcement and fining the shit out of scofflaw AirBnB investors/vultures.
6) The millions upon millions of $$$$ per year that will flow to city revenues from multiple property owners and the millions upon millions of $$$ more that will from flow those thousanda of multiple property owner scofflaws who have not declared their secondary/multiple properties and those who have lied about them.
We're talking hundreds of millions of $$$ per year to be rightfully taken from city ruining scofflaws!
The future of the city will certainly be brighter now that 20 years of conservative, right-wing mismanagement is frickin history!
