I'm going to respond, because I agree to a certain extent.
First of all, we don't know what threads are more useful than others. Most "interesting" threads get a few thousand views and only a couple dozen replies, so that's not a reliable metrics to gauge any kind of usefulness.
@LC18 made very reasonable observations, in her experience, and shared it with an audience. There's value in it and perhaps some silent participants may learn from it.
I'd agree that most vocal TERB participants likely have enough experience to navigate SP world and wouldn't require additional instructions, but they're not the majority.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion. We should be civilized enough to be able to discuss it and not dismiss it, regardless of our initial feelings.
