If I left Canada because certain cultural reasons or the education system, whatever the reason may be. I sure as hell aren't coming back thinking things have magically changed.
Unless I am moving around to different countries because my employer requires me to(which isn't the reason in the video) I'm not coming back.
I'm am going to guess once they really open their eyes about making the move they will change their mind.
The Feds will be waiting for them with a nice "exit tax" bill if they do leave. And if they don't pay, they definitely won't be coming back.
Well…I watched the vid and wrote down the reasons they cite for leaving Canada:
I support this couple in leaving Canada to find a community of others who share their beliefs. I would encourage Canada’s white Christian nationalists and FreeDumb Convoy supporters to be inspired by this couple’s courageous decision- I am told that Romania is a popular destination for those seeking freedom and liberty from government interference in their lives.
- Winter: Agreed. Canada is cold in the winter.
- Inflation: Agreed. Inflation is a problem. But it is a global problem. Where are they gonna move that has a lower inflation rate than Canada? In fact, Canada’s inflation rate is relatively low by world standards.
- They want to live in a Muslim-majority country. Canada is a secular country. Unless you live near a mosque (which this couple do) or a Muslim-majority neighbourhood practicing public prayer 5x/day it is probably more difficult here than in a theocratic Muslim country. So…I can’t disagree with them if that is what they want.
- They identify Hate crimes against Muslims in Canada as being at an all-time high. This would not happen in an Islamic country. So…unfortunately they are not wrong.
- They want to be free to practice and support Hate crimes against the lgbtq community. Their values are well aligned with white Christian nationalists and the FreeDumb Convoy…they may well be happier and better off living in an Islamic theocracy where homosexuality is a crime and being openly lgbtq puts you at risk of being thrown off a roof by an angry mob led by members of your own family.
- They disagree with Canada’s support of Israel. I guess that’s not surprising. I’m not sure I’d leave the country over it, tho. In fact, neither this husband nor wife have ever even lived in Palestine/Gaza- they were both born and raised here in Canada FFS.
- They don’t like the government telling them how to raise their kids. Well…they don’t tell us which Muslim country they’re moving to but I suspect that it will have some very strict rules imposed by both the government and surrounding community. Frankly, if being told what to do by the government is this couple’s concern they are objectively moving to a far worse situation. However, if you like the idea of the government’s enforcing your religion’s faith on the entire population and criminalizing those who differ, Canada is the wrong place to be. Again, their views mirror those of white Christian nationalists and the FreeDumb Convoy here in Canada.
- They are grateful to Canada for providing them with a safe place where their parents and grandparents were able to come to flee persecution and raise them in peace and prosperity. They don’t say where they are going or what they will be doing but are thankful to Canada for affording them the education and opportunity to move on and choose where they wish to live.

Here’s another one from the anti-trans protests from September although they were embarrassingly out-numbered by pro-LGBTQ counter-protesters.
