London is a nice enough city, I lived there for a year while attending UWO. (One time a fully dressed dancer in a bar got a ticket for sitting on my lap. Yes, I offered to pay the ticket.)

But, it has produced some strange characters, Everybody not living under a rock has heard about Veltman.

London also produced the 4 terrorists who attacked a gas plant in Algeria. I think all 4 or at least 3 were killed. Aaron Driver (not one of the 4) was also from London and, fortunately was neutralized before he could carry out his attack.

Used to have a whack of insurance companies based there.
Is the hub for regional government services.
Is the base for a lot of business in the southwest.

But if you are a happening soul, there is a good chance you will not stay, and will soon after Uni punt down the 401 for somewhere else.

So it is kind of like what Douglas Adams parodied in HHGTG when Ford and Arthur came across the 'First Wave' of Earth settlers on the foreign planet.
In that story Earth had parceled out all of the 'chaff' of society and rocketed them off planet to get rid of them.
That place here could be London Ontario.

Didn't know that. I lived there for a year and I thought that was a year longer than I wanted. Lately, London has been been in the news because of Veltman, Aaron Driver, the 4 terrorists who attacked an Algerian gas plant, etc.

I hated it personally, visited with my boyfriend at the time and we experienced extreme racism there. Oh yea the sexual assault is crazy in London especially amongst the schools. My boyfriend at the time was in college and his brother was too and it came out that London was covering up massive amounts of SA accusations between Alumni and students or faculty and students. Shit was so crazy smh

There is two of us saying this now. He is going to lose his mind. LOL.

I have to admit I had a great experience with London police when I had to go to them for a attempted sexual assault from a client, but the cover ups with the schools, the hockey team, etc - plus my own experience - just too much to take the risk of going back.

Somehow - according to FFA - I’m wrong for this opinion but then he doesn’t have to worry about sexual assault so…..there is that. LOL
