You make yourself a robbery target when wearing an expensive coat. Most people in the city don't need a coat that warm especailly since they're just driving from home to work and shopping. At least, Canada Goose have those straps so you can carry the coat on your back. The Toronto winters have also become milder over the years. Even in mid-November there are still people jogging in their t-shirt and shorts. I can only recall a few days of extremely cold weather last winter.Overpriced, hell yes. Warm as heck, yes.
Anything associate to Drake, irrelevant to me.
Then again, a Canada Goose might be worthwhile if you wear it for many years or even decades. I have a ~$1000+ suit that's over 10 years old and still looks great on me. Someone even thought it was a custom. I could have spend ~$100 for a similar suit at H&M, but it would not have lasted as long nor still looked good today. Again, it depends on your use case and how you use your clothing or products.
I'm not into winter sports, but any down-filled coat would be too warm for those activities. You'd end up drenched in sweat.
If you need warmth, it's far better to wear multiple layers.
