Overpriced, hell yes. Warm as heck, yes.
Anything associate to Drake, irrelevant to me.
You make yourself a robbery target when wearing an expensive coat. Most people in the city don't need a coat that warm especailly since they're just driving from home to work and shopping. At least, Canada Goose have those straps so you can carry the coat on your back. The Toronto winters have also become milder over the years. Even in mid-November there are still people jogging in their t-shirt and shorts. I can only recall a few days of extremely cold weather last winter.

Then again, a Canada Goose might be worthwhile if you wear it for many years or even decades. I have a ~$1000+ suit that's over 10 years old and still looks great on me. Someone even thought it was a custom. I could have spend ~$100 for a similar suit at H&M, but it would not have lasted as long nor still looked good today. Again, it depends on your use case and how you use your clothing or products.

I'm not into winter sports, but any down-filled coat would be too warm for those activities. You'd end up drenched in sweat.

If you need warmth, it's far better to wear multiple layers.

La la land
Sadly, there's not much we can do about the constant updates. Companies need to push new features and products to keep generating profits. At the same time, they have the legacy cost of supporting their older products and technology and that causes plenty of problems. Besides, it companies never pushed new products then we'd still be using CRT aka tube-style TV's, VGA ports on our video cards, brick style cell phones, record players, etc.
You are half right. For example HDMI / LED TV it has reached its limit. Do we need more than 4K TV when the eye can't see any more detail?
Cell phone hardware they reached the highest lever 7 - 5 years ago. So all it is OS sugar coating.

Hardware has already reached its limit. But human psychology has gone down.

Why do tires go up in price when it still the same road?

Many advances are not noticeable. Most cables like HDMI, Ethernet, USB, etc. have gotten faster over the years even though the cable looks identical. I grant you that we can't see much more detail past 4K if at all. On the other hand, you may need better cables for features like HDR or high-dynamic range, virtual reality, higher frame rates, reduced artifacts, or the ability to plug in multiple monitors or even daisy chain them to a computer.

Phones and computers today have dual or more CPU cores. That makes the devices smaller while also increasing performance and battery life.

The same applies with tires. They're made of different materials today vs years ago.

I think Canada Goose and Moose Knuckles are way over hyped and over priced. Same thing with Drake's owl logo brand. Don't even know what it's name is.
I agree I think those brands are very expensive for no reason

Tesla.
Is not the point of an e-car or hybrid to help reduce carbon Emissions and help our planet?
How did that get mixed in with luxury, and having a show off car? I think saving the earth takes precedent over commercialism. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. Some only care about being seen driven a Tesla for status of wealth or self-righteous indignation. Brings me to my next one.

Starbucks. Overpriced crappy coffee. Again more for status. Also not sure why they keep giving plastic cups away (or if they charge for them I reall would not know) for people to drink tap
water from. There are refillable, reusable water bottles.

Social Media.
Everyone (almost, especially those -35 years) needs to be seen and heard. We’ve become a highly narcissistic culture wherein sharing details of there lives with everyone who will read has become a norm.
I’d say socials are 95% bad.
I think the reasons should be beyond obvious but here it is:
Unnecessary distractions to keep our minds focused off things that actually matter, ie; environmental decay,, poverty, government and corporate greed and corruption, generating poor self esteem among youth vis a vis poor self image, inabilities to communicate with real people,
mental and social disorders, cyber bullying…
the list can go on and on.

5% good
For work and professional purposes.
Also if you wish to share photos and video with family and friends that live in another part of the world.

Extremist partisan, brain washed cult mentality.
Freedom Convoy, maga, proud boy’s on the right, woke flakes in the left.

Keeping an open mind is the only way to truly learn and grow imho. Nothing is absolute other than death and taxes. Read books other than what’s online. Think critically about bread and circuses.
Very well said

What about the constant OS upgrades.
Then your software and apps don’t work the same.
See my post about planned obsolescence.
I’m not saying Apple is horrible, they work great in many applications, especially in my line of work, however, each generation of Mac books, workstation, or iPhone seems to need to be replaced more frequently do to manufacturing going downhill. Did you know read about the M2 chip? Also why do the usb-c, and thunderbolt 3 plugs and ports look the same?
Ever go into a Mac store? Lmao
Most consumers know very little as to how these products function and the number of upgrades needed. They just know they want it
Bc they’re “cool”.Genius! Lol
Windows is also guilty of this obsolescence shit. I lost the use of two wireless printers with a windows 10 update. Two perfectly functioning printers, one was a photo grade five colours unit.

I would think you can still use them by plugging them into your computer via USB? Though, it could be inconvenient to do so.

Only one, the expensive Epson. The other one was rendered useless, with all the ink cartridges that I had in stock. Bastard windows.

Is your second printer wireless only? That's kind of surprising. Or does the software no longer work on the latest Windows 10 update?

Second printer has usb only for setup. No drivers for usb interface for some reason. So, only wireless, and it worked for a while with windows 10 until a later update killed all wireless interfaces for many wireless printers. Both the printer manufacturer and micro$oft would not provide a solution. I ended up with an è-waste instead of a perfectly functioning printer. The printer worked with Linux, but I didn’t want to switch to Linux at the time.

A winter coat has no business being over $1000 like I can’t see the reasoning in that
