My uncle lives this life. He retried fairly well off in the states...but retired to the Philipines. Lives like a king. Butler, driver, gardner working for him...gets a professinal massuese to come to work on him 3 times a week, married a super chill woman 25 years his junior, owns a beach house on Boraci, etc.

I pay much less than $2,000 a month to live in Canada. My family is here, it is a safe place to live and I am covered healthcare wise. Winters are not the best however I can travel and sometimes just hunker down and take it easy. I can date, have girlfriends and if needed could hobby at an affordable price.
The vast majority of things I would ever need are available locally or can be shipped to my home within days.
No need to live like a king because I am extremely content and happy with my current life style.
