The answer to the second question is Ken Griffet Jr.This is for the people who did NOT watch tonight's Blue Jay game or watch Sportsnet afterwards(all 5 of you).
1) Who are the 4 players in Blue Jay history that hit a home run in their first at bat?
2) In 1998 Joe Siddall hit his only home run in his MLB career. Unfortunately, the visiting centerfielder threw the ball back into the crowd, not knowing it's significance. Who was the outfielder?
First question correctly answered by onomatopoeia.
According to Siddell, his homer hit the outfield facade at Tiger stadium and bounced back onto the field. Griffey Jr., unaware of the fact it was Siddell's first home run, picked up the ball and threw ir back into the outfield stands to give a fan a souvenier. Tiger stadium staff tracked down the fan who got the ball and started to negotiate with him. It turns out the fan wanted some memoribilia signed by Griffey Jr. himself in order to give up the ball. Griffey Jr. complied with the request. Siddell said he and Griffey haven't spoken about the incident since it happened, and Griffey Jr. still might not be aware of the story.
