Right but you are aware that in the past blacks were strung up, had their balls cut off, and brutalized before a cheering crowd before they were hung to death. Don't you?

So with that history in mind, which was as recent as 1981, unless you are racist yourself and are intentionally insensitive to those injustices, how do you not see racially motivated murders as more problematic?

There is also the fact that regular crime, is targeted towards particular individuals who are victims, but hate crimes are targeted at a demographic group, which also makes it a bigger problem.

I don't see it as worthy of any separate classification, so no I don't see classifying all murders as just plain murders, problematic at all.

No, I do not see that the murder of a person because you hate their race is any worse than murdering someone because you are stealing from them. Both are murder.

It's about intent.

If I spray paint my name on a wall, it's vandalism. If I spray paint a hate symbol on the side of a synagogue, there is more malice in the action.

But it has to be acknowledged as a hate crime because your ulterior motive in not doing so is to downplay racism, make it look like there is no racism, and minimize the issue of racism and race motivated violence. That is precisely why hate crimes are taken more seriously and reported on more seriously, because we cannot let that slide and escape scrutiny. And why would anyone, deny the issue of racism or try to minimize hate crimes? Either because they are racist or because they have no empathy for the sufferings of people who have been subject to racism.

So yes, while murder is murder, hate crimes are not just crimes, but they also point to persistent issues in culture that needs to be fixed. Which is why they are more serious.

Furthermore, please don't tell me what MY motivation is, it is a logical fallacy and is akin to name-calling. There is no evidence of that.

I believe in individual rights, not group rights. And actually that is the purest form of non-racism there is.

See, this is where I disagree. To the victim, it is not more serious, it is the exact same crime.

But that's kind of irrelevant to the argument.
Crimes are "the state vs" (the people, the crown, whatever) not "the victim vs".

To the victim it is the exact same crime.
To the state it is a different one.

Would you be able to point me to your posts talking about Asian on Asian crime, when the hate crimes against Asians became a big issue in the media, and Hate crime Bills specifically for Asians got enacted? Why is it that people like you love to pathologise Black people?
